By now you know that if we’re traveling, we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities we’re in or the ships we’re on. We’re currently sailing on Norwegian Aqua which is doing a special 2-nt sailing to the Bahamas from Port Miami. As NCL‘s second newest ship, she is jammed with activities.Of course we couldn’t miss that cruise ship tradition, the Sail-Away Party!Usually taking place on the pool deck, this one was no different. On this ship, the pool is located on Deck 17 mid-ship. The ship’s animation team was out in force but they initially struggled to get anyone out there; it was SO hot.Drink packages can get pricey on long cruises but with this one being just 2-nts, it was dirt cheap. So the pool bar stayed jammed!Under the blazing Miami sun, the dance floor eventually did get populated.Music delivered by DJ Drake (WL).His set included EDM songs such as “World Hold On”, “Beautiful People” and “I Love It”.And traditional sailaway party songs such as “The Wobble”…..…..and “Cupid Shuffle”.When you sail from PortMiami you get the famous cruise ship parade so on the way out to see we passed all the other ships in port including Norwegian Getaway.The massive Royal Caribbean ship Wonder of the Seas.And MSC Seaside.The Sail-Away party was in progress on MSC Seaside too and we knew DJ Allen D (USA) had to be up there somewhere!Another tradition, the conga line during “Feel The Beat”.A good time was had by all.Friday night and time for a highly acclaimed musical show, “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” (USA).Taking place in the ship’s Aqua Theater which has two levels of seating on Decks 7 and 8 plus the crowd is also allowed standing down here on the main floor too on Deck 6. If you can stand for an hour, this is the place to be.The show began with “Let’s Go Crazy”.Other songs included “1999”, “Little Red Corvette”, “U Got The Look” and “Kiss”.Photo-taking is not allowed so this is all we’re going to show you. Two men and two women provided the vocals to the mostly-Prince (but not completly) song lineup. This is a must-see show if you’re sailing on Norwegian Aqua.Near the end, my Prince fave, “Controversy“.Not even 11PM so time for one more party! The Glow Party.Early crowd.Also taking place on the pool deck.Back in the perch, DJ Drake (WL).Everyone was given glow headbands and glow wands.The Glow Party was led by our Cruise Director Tahani (RP).We believe we met her previously at a 70’s Night on Norwegian Jewel back in 2022.EDM songs included “Remedy” and “Titanium” and “Party In The USA”. The peeps love EDM.We heard some 70’s such as “Celebration” and “Sweet Caroline” before migrating over to Latin hits to close out the party. A good time was had by all.
