Saturday night in the city and we began our evening of club hopping at Sapphire Lounge. It’s only a couple months old so there’s no sign yet but it’s in the former Stonewall Bar/Heatwave spot on Church Street adjacent the Orlando City LionsMLS soccer stadium.There were three areas of music last night with the main room directly adjacent to the entry doors. We walked into this!When we arrived DJ R-Side (USA) was turning the controls over to DJ Mr. Mogembo (USA).Their music was House/Tech House.Spotted on the dance floor: The instigators of this 3rd edition of “Unlisted”, DJ Nina S (USA) and DJ Mr. Nukem (UAE). They would be playing together at this stage later in the evening.Sapphire has numerous shiny disco balls over the dance floor so you know they’re legit!We headed upstairs next and walked into this.In this second area of music we found DJ Wayward Jaybird (USA).We would describe his set as Hardstyle.He had his own crowd up here.The third area of music was back downstairs but outside here on their back patio.We pointed to the printed lineup and asked which DJ he was? He said he was a last minute substitution and was not on the list.He offered no additional information, lol. We headed next into downtown Orlando.Tier Nightclub is now OHM Nightclub. It had operated under the Tier name since early 2012 when it replaced Icon Nightclub. Same crappy music that Tier played so we didn’t go inside.Did you know that Taco Kat spelled backwards is Tako Cat? It was our next stop.First you get scrutinized and authorized by the security guard standing next to that soda machine (pop machine for our northern readers). And then he opens that soda machine to reveal the portal.And you’re magically transported from a taco restaurant into this nightclub.DJ Sachin Talikot (USA) was in the booth when we first arrived.He was playing a funky kind of House music.Usually pretty female-centric, there were a lot of bros in the club last night.It’s a fun little venue with great music every time we’ve visited.Spotted in VIP: DJ Brian Busto (USA) with his entourage. And indeed Brian would come on next just as we were heading-out to our next stop. We’ll try to catch the Tampa-based DJ next visit.That next stop was over in Orlando’s Milk District, home to Iron Cow. It was “Lost In Trancelation” Night.Arriving after midnight, we walked into this!The booth was down on the dance floor instead of on stage and DJ Suzy Solar (USA) had just ended her set.With DJ Sean Tyas (USA/CH) taking over.He was pretty animated throughout his mostly Uplifting Trance set.Dance floor was jammed.Don’t recall any vocals in his music selections.Everybody in a great mood.We spotted numerous peeps we know from the music scene. Most we knew but some were new.On the far right, DJ Keri (USA) joins DJ Burufunk (USA) at the “The Libra Party” next Friday night October 16th at Broken Strings Brewery. Should be a night of mostly Breaks.Iron Cow has a shiny disco ball over the dance floor so you know they’re legit!As 1:30AM approached, the floor was staying jammed.Great vibe in the club for this “Lost In Trancelation” event.A good time was had by all.
