Club Reports: Broken Strings Brewery, Palm Tree Club, Iron Cow

After spending this past week in Michigan and Ontario, it was great to be back in Orlando to hear some real music. We began our Saturday night at Broken Strings Brewery just west of downtown.
We arrived around 10PM and walked into this!
DJ Frequie G (USA) was just finishing her Breaks set.
Dance floor was jammed,
The bar had zero vacancy.
DJ Shai Town (USA) taking over next and continuing the vibe.
Her DJ name plays homage to her Illinois heritage.
Those looks you get from great Breakbeats.
Shai Town had the club bouncing.
“I’m with the DJ.”
It was a reunion of former club Sanctuary in Melbourne last night with DJ Jennifer Marley (USA), DJ Delicious Groove (USA) and DJ Gruv Girl (USA).
We ran into so many peeps from the local music scene last night. Some were new but most we knew.
And then around 11PM, there she was: DJ Delicious Groove.
It’s always great when this Dallas-based DJ plays in Orlando.
She was joined by Dance singer Jamie Blue (USA) performing some Stevie Nicks (GB) for us.
Dance floor stayed active.
The lasers were flying.
Such a fun set.
Last night, a good time was had by all.
Pointe Orlando was packed last night for the NBA finals and a few minutes after the NY Knickerbockers won the championship, many migrated over to Palm Tree Club. Located along International Drive in Orlando’s tourist district, Live! at the Pointe is a cluster of 6 dance clubs and bars that play a variety of music styles.
Arriving shortly after midnight, we walked into this!
In the booth, DJ Ferny (RCH/USA).
She was playing a great mix of EDM and House.
Club wasn’t packed but there was a decent-sized crowd and it would continue to grow as the queue outside cleared.
Ferny was pretty animated. First time seeing her play.
Dance floor getting more active.
PTC doesn’t have a shiny disco ball; the have a shiny disco palm tree.
What they don’t have is a roof. While certain areas inside are covered, many areas are not.
To protect the equipment and the DJ when it began to rain, they had to quickly install some umbrellas.
Close to 1AM, the next DJ took over.
DJ Chino (USA)
He would continue with more EDM and House.
“I’m with the DJ.”
DJ Chino hosts “House & Coffee” next Saturday morning, June 20th at Qreate Coffee in Orlando’s Creative Village district. There’s nothing quite like dancing to House music at 8 in the morning! Admission is free; you just have to buy something, anything, like a coffee, tea, pastry, etc. If you’ve never attended a daytime House party, you need to come check it out. You can sleep later.
Last night, a good time was had by all.
Two clubs down, one to go. We headed next to Iron Cow located in Orlando’s Milk District.
We had just experienced Breaks at Broken Strings and House music at Palm Tree Club. It couldn’t get any better…..could it? Well, we walked-in to hear OceanLab (GB) Trance hit “Satellite” playing. OMG!
DJ Rossi (GB/UAE) in the booth .
And he was playing a mostly Classic Trance set!
Tiesto (NL) and Above & Beyond (GB) Trance hits had the dance floor bouncing! Two weekends in a row hearing Trance in Orlando!
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.
Dubai in the house! DJ Mr. Nukem (UAE) had opened the show earlier.
Party in VIP!
Happy Birthday!
The music so good. Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had…..
…..by all!
