Club Reports: Will’s Pub, Iron Cow, Barbarella

Because they usually have live bands playing here, Will’s Pub in the Mills/50 District is not a typical destination of ours. But when we heard they would be doing a Prince (USA) tribute show last night, we knew we had to be there.
Coming in through the front door brings you into their front room which is where the bar is located.
But the adjacent side room is where the action is and we walked into this!
The Prince Tribute brought to us by the legendary DJ BMF (USA).
Orlando Weekly readers recognized him as Orlando’s best club DJ back in 2018.
And last night he was delivering Prince hits one-after-another!
Dance floor was jamming.
Everyone knows Prince had so many dance hits but you just don’t realize how many he had until you hear them all played together.
Songs such as “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Delirious”, “Kiss” & “Little Red Corvette” all played back-to-back-to-back!
You know you’re in the right place when you run into fellow-club photographer Patrick Scott Barnes.
We ran into several peeps we know from the Orlando music scene.
So much yes!
Spotted in the booth: The DJ with Patrick Scott Barnes.
Most of the songs last night were accompanied by corresponding music videos.
Dance floor went crazy for “1999”. We can remember dancing to that song in the 80’s at Victor’s in Fort Walton Beach when 1999 was so far in the future. Now 1999 is so far in the past. Wtf.
We think Will’s Pub typically has a shiny disco ball up there over the dance floor so you know they’re legit. Last night they had a shiny disco Ƭ̵̬̊ up there.
We visited the Prince logo store at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN back in 2021.
So much fun last night and a good time was had by all.
Iron Cow is located in Orlando’s Milk District and it was one of our stops last night.
We came in the door and walked into this!
DJ Citron (USA) was in the booth.
Great House music set from this Charlotte-based DJ.
The bar was busy during our visit.
The dance floor, not so much.
Iron Cow has a shiny disco ball over the dance floor so you know they’re legit.
Activity was growing a bit prior to our departure. DJ Mr. Nukem (UAE) plays here next Saturday night, June 13th, while the Zinc Bar Reunion with DJ Cliff T (USA) and DJ Carlos Mendoza (USA) is happening here on Friday, June 19th. Both events will be packed.
Time for one more stop. By now you know Barbarella v3.0 happens every Saturday night inside The Axe Trap on Lee Road in Winter Park.
We opened the door and walked into this!
Just as it should be on a Saturday night, DJ Indie John (USA) in the perch delivering the hits.
The music mostly 80’s New Wave and Alternative.
Even at this late hour, the dance floor was jammed.
Spotted in VIP: DJ Icey (USA) and his entourage.
We ran into numerous peeps we know from the Goth scene. Some for the second night in a row!
Barbarella has a shiny disco ball over the dance floor so you know they’re legit.
Most of the songs accompanied by Promo Only or DJ Rob Video Vault music videos. The actual DJ Rob (USA) had played here in person last Saturday night.
Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
