After our first two nights in downtown Miami, downtown Fort Lauderdale and South Beach, we were skeptical when we heard Saturday night’s event would be held at La Diosa in suburban Miami Lakes. Could this work, we wondered? But before we could find out, we had to try to smooth talk our way past the two door hostesses. When you come in the front doors, you immediately find yourself in the Red Room (which should really be called the Mauve Room). This was the first area of music in La Diosa.A couple of central Florida boys were playing here.DJ Swagkerr (USA) and DJ Tooltime (USA).This room was small but there was always a great vibe in here. And always people dancing. The second area if music was called the Green Room and at our 7PM arrival time, this is where most people were stationed.Catching the final moments of a set from DJ Wutam (USA).Followed immediately by DJ GN aka DJ G$ aka DJ Geo (USA).With some exceptions which we’ll note, most everyone was playing Breaks last night. The room is long and deep and people were dancing all the way aft.The GN Fan Club (Miami-Dade County chapter) were amongst the crowd.Although we can’t be 100% certain, we believe this was called the Green Room because of the preponderance of the color green in here.Back in the Red Mauve room, a back-2-back set was now in progress.DJ Gruv42 (USA)DJ Ryan Blake (USA)Their varied styles had the room bouncing.Big crowd! It’s nice to do an event where the music stages are so close together, unlike Okechobee Music Festival last weekend where some of the stages were literally a mile a part. Back to the Green room.DJ Genesis (USA) grooving to a Breaks remix of Gabriel & Dresden/Motorcycle (USA) hit “As The Rush Comes”. DJ Genesis had the benefit of a MC.With MC Ryan Motive Marsh providing some narration.Good crowd for this set.Jennifer telling me where I can go.Back in the smaller room, another b2b set had broken out. With Dallas-based DJ Heiress (USA)…..…..and San Francisco-based DJ Dominik Audio (USA).Both delivering their own styles of Breaks and Electro. It was now 9PM over in the Green room so this must be DJ Mizzo (USA).Among his selections the classic “Jay and Jane” and a Breaks version “Diet Coke”. Dance floor was jammed. We first met Mizzo when he played at Neon Beach in downtown Orlando in 2023 as seen in this photo from the Blog archives.Mizzo always delivers a fun set.And he had the crowd bouncing. When his set ended we went directly into another wild set!DJ Nikita (USA)Super-animated.With a similar animated response from the audience. We ran into so many peeps from the music scene. Some were new but most we knew.Thank you everyone for your poses! While over in the Red room, the notoriously difficult to photograph DJ Rob Analyze (USA).But eventually we always succeed. Drum’n’Bass set, of course.DJ Amber Jane (USA) had played prior to our arrival last night so we were sorry to have missed her set.You can never have too much Amber Jane.Around 11PM, just a small crowd in the Red room.DJ Slug (USA)It was still early so where was everyone? We found everybody in the Green room.DJ Deekline (GB)His set a mix of both Breaks and DnB.Dance floor was packed. And he had the room moving at high speeds!Big crowd for the London-based legend.Outside DJ Yo Speed (E/GB) had been spotted and several wanted their photo taken with him.The Spaniard had played on Friday night at “The Get Down” event we attended in Fort Lauderdale. It was good to unexpectedly see him again.Back inside, one of our south Florida favorites. DJ Gucci Bass (USA)And he had a crowd.Spotted in VIP just before his midnight set…..The legendary DJ Magic Mike (USA).Miami Bass, of course!Dance floor remained packed! But with a 6AM flight to Orlando, we needed to get back to the hotel and pack, retank the rental car and put an end to Miami Music Week 2026. Yes, “Project Mahem’s Industry Social” definitely did work at La Diosa.A good time was had by ALL!
