Club Reports: Broken Strings Brewery, EVO @ Good Times Bar & Grill, Bikkuri Lounge

We began our Friday night on Church Street at Broken Strings Brewery for their Galentines event.
Although we first had to get past the Door Hostess. Fortunately, she got distracted and we were able to sneak in without showing our drivers license or passport.
Inside we found the opener in the 7PM time slot, DJ Ms. MF (USA).
She was playing mostly House and EDM.
Broken Strings is an actual brew pub and they make many of their own brews.
While the dance floor was mostly empty during our visit, the bar itself was jammed.
Art for sale out on the patio, available from DJ Vint Soul (USA).
Up next, DJ Freeda Sol (USA).
Her set was mostly House music.
Behind the bar, hostesses with the mostesses, Amber Jane & Tara.
In the Tech booth, DJ Swagkerr (USA).
DJ’s were playing 45-minute sets last night so in no time DJ Fun-D-Mentlz (USA) took her turn.
Most of her set were Top 40 tunes that had been remixed to a House or EDM beat.
The club has one of these novelty vending machines.
And you never know what you’re going to end up with your purchase.
Some prizes are better than others.
After three straight female DJ’s, it was time for some guys. And they would switch the music from House to Breaks.
DJ Spark-D (USA) up first.
During their set, the bar stayed busy!
And the lasers were flying.
DJ Rosk (USA) came on next.
A little bit of dance floor activity. We told the owner the dance floor would be busier if they installed a shiny disco ball.
We ran into lots of peeps we know last night.
More DJ’s than you can shake a stick at (clockwise): Jennifer Marley, Roller, MF, Rosk, Spark-D, Tooltime, Swagkerr.

Darren Newson from the new Orlando Pirates of the Indoor Football League. They will be playing at Kia Center and the season begins next month. Check them out HERE.
At 10PM, closing set from DJ Jennifer Marley (USA).
Playing a great House set, of course. At this juncture, we needed to be moving on.
To north suburban Maitland, home to Good Times Bar & Grill located along Keller Road.
It was a mostly Alternative music night and we walked into this.
DJ Rob Bates (USA) was in the perch for this new monthly event.
The music, Alternative/Industrial.
We ran into a handful of people we know from the Alt scene.
It wasn’t jammed like last weekend’s “Abyss” show here but considering last night was kind of a last minute addition, it wasn’t bad.
The DJ kept everyone moving.
One more stop. The sign says “Sticky Rice” on the outside, but few know there’s a dance club on the inside!
You can climb the stairs or take the lift. We walked into this.
DJ Mighty Shari (USA) was in the booth when we arrived.
Joined here by MC Antonia Rivano (RCH/USA).
Mighty Shari was playing Disco, Nu-Disco and Disco House.
Bikkuri Lounge has that great light wall on two sides. It can pulse multiple colors but last night they kept it in red for Valentines Day weekend.
They have multiple lighted disco balls.
We ran into several peeps we know from the music scene.
Coming up next, first time seeing DJ Satellite Frank (USA).
He would continue with that Disco vibe.
And uniquely, also play off the keyboard!
Dance floor stayed jammed.
Disco always brings a great vibe to any club.
The Palm Coast-based DJ stayed pretty animated during our visit.
We’re told this event titled “Devotion” will be a monthly here at Bikkuri. Last night was their opening night.
It was definitely a success and a good time was had by all.
