So here we are sailing on board Resilient Lady from Virgin Voyages doing a one-off 2nt sailing to nowhere from PortMiami. Cruises to nowhere are typically illegal for foreign-flagged ships to conduct under the Passenger Vessel Services Act of 1886 however Virgin obviously received a waiver. We’ve always wanted to sail on Virgin and this very short cruise made that possible. Also, a big name DJ was performing!When we first arrived around 11PM the opener was still on. DJ James Campbell (GB/MV) whom we had seen earlier in the evening at the Sailaway Party was back on the stage at the Aquatic Club as the ship calls their pool deck.The pool area was packed for his EDM set.Nearly everyone on this sailing was here for this headliner.And then, there he was! The headliner…..DJ Sam Feldt (NL)He was very animated his entire set, waving his arms to the music and using the mic to get the crowd riled-up!While Sam Feldt is known for several of his House music productions, it was all EDM last night.Club was packed to the rafters!He played several of his own songs but it was mostly big EDM hits of the past decade or so, one after the other!Sam Feldt had played at the brand new Palm Tree Club at Live! at The Pointe in Orlando on Friday night. The venue had opened on EDC weekend when we were a little busy so we’ve not had the chance to visit it but will soon. DJ Frank Walker (CDN) plays there on December 20th with advance tickets here.His set had everyone literally bouncing on the deck!The good vibes were thick!We’ll have more ship pics tomorrow from our Sunday fun day at sea. Saturday night with Sam Feldt, a good time was had by all.
