Club Reports: The Scene @ Aquatic Club (Resilient Lady)

By now you know that if we’re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we’re on. We’re currently sailing on cruise ship Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady , embarking from Port Miami and doing a 2-nt cruise to nowhere. We’ve always wanted to sail on Virgin but they’re more expensive than the competition so we’ve never done it. With them doing this one-off 2-night cruise, that brought the price way down so we jumped on the opportunity!
Virgin has a reputation in the cruise industry of doing things differently and that difference became apparent immediately upon arrival at the cruise terminal. Outside on the front patio of the terminal we found DJ C Lake (USA) playing House, Latin House and Top 40 Dance remixes while groups waited for their embarkation appointment times.
Of course another cruise means another sail-away party and that takes place by the pool.
On the pool deck we could see this would not an ordinary sailing as lots of equipment had been brought on board and being set up with a real stage and lots of lighting.
The ship sailed around 6:30PM so we returned to the pool deck and arrived to find this!
The pool deck was absolutely jammed.
On the decks, DJ James Campbell (GB/MV).
The dance floor (and pool) stayed busy for a mix of House, Disco, EDM and Top 40.
No children allowed on Virgin Voyages with the minimum age being 18.
Virgin‘s animation team kept things lively.
James Campbell is a resident DJ on all three Virgin ships and when not sailing, he also plays at Ibiza clubs such as Amnesia, Nikki Beach and Eden.
At last night’s sail-away party, a good time was had by all. But wait, there’s more!
That special stage and lighting was constructed for this headliner who would be playing here at 11PM. Yes, DJ Sam Feldt (NL) would be playing on board a few hours later. We’ll post pics from that event in tomorrow’s article here on OEN.
