With an early trip to the airport scheduled for Saturday morning, we couldn’t stay out late Friday night. But we also couldn’t miss a 70’s Disco night so here we were at The Abbey Event Center for the “Gimme Gimme Disco” event.We arrived around 9PM to find the DJ not playing yet but there was also a contingent on the dance floor ready to party.The DJ came on shortly thereafter and the dance floor got more crowded.DJ opened with some Michael Jackson (USA) “Rock With You” followed by Bee Gees (GB) “You Should Be Dancing”. On the stage, DJ Squeeze (USA) along with the Promoter.We had first met DJ Squeeze this past January at The Beacham when he led the Taylor Swift sing-along.Lots of flares, crop tops and platforms in the predominately female crowd.More 70’s Disco with “Shake Your Booty”, “Disco Inferno” and “That’s the Way (I Like It)”. DJ Squeeze knows his 70’s Disco!Orlando Entertainment News will be covering the World’s Largest Disco in Buffalo next Saturday night so you’ll want to check out our article next Sunday.It never got very crowded during our visit last night but it was hardly empty either. And the music was great!Some Abba (S) of course with “Voulez-Vous”, “Gimme Gimme” and “Super Trouper” during our visit. And although technically early 80’s, nothing says Disco like “Funky Town”. A good time was had by all.
