Concert Report: DJ Armin van Buuren (Omnia Las Vegas)

Located in Caesar’s Palace Resort & Casino, Omnia Nightclub is Las Vegas’ most-amazing nightclub in a city that has many.
We began upstairs on the club’s outdoor Terrace where we got to meet resident DJ Shift (USA) for the first time.
Located directly across from the Flamingo, the music was Top 40 hits.
It was early and there was already a crowd. It gets packed up here!
After a brief visit we went downstairs to the indoor main room. There was still plenty of space on the dance floor but you have to come early to Omnia or you could be kept off the floor once it’s at capacity.
The opener was playing, resident DJ Jeff Retro (USA).
As you can see, just minutes later the floor was packed! The music was close to 100% EDM & House and the DJ had the dance floor bouncing!
Omnia has this amazing lighted “space ship” that hangs above the dance floor and it made its initial appearance early in the evening.
Jeff Retro is originally from Sarasota but he has significant ties to Orlando given that he graduated from both UCF and Full Sail University. He’s also a resident DJ at Hakkasan Nightclub in the MGM Grand.
The last time we saw him play was at Attic Nightclub in downtown Orlando back in 2020.
The ever-changing “space ship” is part of the unique vibe at Omnia.
At 12:30AM a couple of Go Go girls came on stage.
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.
Lasers appeared!
An aerialist appeared! But it wasn’t until 1AM…..
When we could say, “there he is”!
The headliner, DJ Armin van Buuren (NL).
And as expected, his set was mostly Trance!
We last saw Armin van Buuren when he played at EDC-Orlando last November. But you can never have too much Armin!
The space ship came down so low to the dance floor it seemed you could reach out and touch it!
Armin giving us his famous pose!
Las Vegas is a city where you can find international-qualty DJ’s playing nearly every night. For instance, Chris Lake (GB) was paying at Marqee last night, James Hype (GB) was playing at Zouk Las Vegas and Steve Aoki (USA) was playing at Hakkasan. Tonight DJ duo Loud Luxury (CDN) is playing here at Omnia while Illenium (USA) is at Zouk and Cedric Gervais (F) is at Marquee.
A super-fun night and seeing Armin van Buuren this close and personal was amazing. A good time was had by all.
