Concert Report: Breakz, The Jimmy Joslin Birthday Show (Hammered Lamb)

Located in the Ivanhoe Village section of Orlando north of downtown, last night was our first visit ever to The Hammered Lamb.
We were here for Breakz, the Jimmy Joslin Birthday Show.
We were greeted by Doorhost & Security guard Tiny.
Opening the show, the birthday boy himself, DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA).
He would play the first hour from 9PM to 10PM and as you might expect at a show called “Breakz”, the music was mostly Old Skool Breaks!
The next three DJ’s would each play two half-hour timeslots between 10PM and 1AM. DJ KJ (USA) of K5 fame was up next and would continue with the Old Skool.
We had last seen him play at the Club 600North Reunion show in Daytona Beach back in September.
KJ had also played at EDC-Orlando last year, shown here with Dance Singer Dana Dee (USA).
Breakers gonna break!
Up next, DJ Tooltime (USA).
While predominately a Breaks set, he also went a bit of contemporary House on us with two hits from this past year, John Summit (USA) banger “Human” and MK (USA)/Dom Dolla (AUS) collaboration “Rhyme Dust”.
We ran into so many peeps, some we knew and some were new.
Spotted on the dance floor: Moshi John with his stunning wife. His Megacon Orlando dance parties are legendary and are just barely a month away. Get your costume ready and check out the three nights of events here.
Spotted in VIP: DJ Tooltime with Concert Promoter Luis Evans of Vizion1.
DJ Evolv3 (USA) was next-up!
Continuing with the good stuff!
Only 11PM and the dance floor was packed!
Around the turn of the century so many of the Top 40 hits of the time were Breakbeats. And that’s what the DJ’s playing last night were giving us!
DJ KJ back up for his second turn and playing his biggest hit, “Passion“.
Dance floor likes!
Jimmy Joslin thanking the crowd for coming out for his birthday party.
KJ had the dance floor bouncing!
DJ Tooltime back for his second shift.
illDJ Chris B (USA) was just a little excited when Tooltime dropped Chris’ big Booty Breaks hit “International Wingman“.
Lighting and Sound technical work provided by DJ John Campisano (USA).
The bar stayed busy. All the action last night was taking place on The Hammered Lamb‘s covered outdoor patio.
DJ Evolv3 was back too for his second shift on the decks.
The club was absolutely mobbed.
More peeps!
Freaky Frank quote: “I plan to start dancing real soon. But first, let me take a selfie.”
Before closing out the final hour of the show, we spotted Jimmy Joslin with his gorgeous wife Krista.
And his gorgeous kids. (And Uncle KJ looking on!)
Can’t have an Old Skool night without “I Do Both Jay and Jane“.
What a great night! A good time was had by all.
