Club Reports: Morse Code, Ember, The Robinson, Elixir Bar

We were traveling today for Christmas and thus the delay in getting this article posted. Saturday night was a fun night which we began in downtown Winter Park at a new venue called Morse Code.
An upscale venue, we walked into THIS!
Here we found DJ O.B. (USA) in the small booth located along the front window.
The club was pretty jammed although we were disappointed to learn the venue is just beer and wine with no liquor.
The dance floor was pretty busy during our visit.
Shift change brought Chris Hand dba DJ Knightlife (USA) into the booth.
Both DJ’s were joined by friends including DJ Mark Sanchez (USA) in this pic.
Spotted in VIP prior to his set: Chris Hand with the always-stunning Carla Hand. Someone had given them that yellow club flyer on their table…..
The 1999 flyer was from Storm Club in Cocoa where the DJ was listed as “Chris Hands”, lol. The late DJ Versa-Style (USA) was also listed!
Also spotted: Club veteran Anthony.
We next moved from downtown Winter Park to downtown Orlando and club Ember.
Where we walked into THIS!
Two DJ’s were on the decks but we didn’t know either of them.
Place was packed for their mostly Hip Hop sets.
First visit to Ember since prior to Covid. Interesting.
Instead we headed over to The Robinson Cocktail Room.
Where we walked into THIS in the main room.
The real fun happens though in the Disco Room.
Weekend resident DJ Brio (USA) was in the booth playing mostly 70’s Disco & 80’s Top 40.
We heard songs like “Dancing Queen” & “More Than A Woman” from the 70s’, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “Vogue” & “All Night Long” from the 80’s.
The Disco Room opens after 10:30pm even though the club is open earlier and the DJ is already playing.
You know the club is legit when they have not just one but many shiny disco balls.
Although the room had just opened, it didn’t take long for the dance floor to see activity.
But do follow club rules!
Final stop of the night to Blog-favorite Elixir Bar.
Where we walked into THIS on their famous outdoor dance patio.
A fusion of House and Tech House from opener DJ Pacho Berrocal (USA).
You could tell he was having fun up there last night.
Dance floor got jammed as midnight approached.
Spotted on the dance floor: This group of sexy Orlando .clubbers.
And then shortly after midnight, there he was, the headliner…..
DJ Thunderpony (USA)
We had last seen Thunderpony play last month on the neonGARDEN Stage at EDC-Orlando.
Some of his selections last night were off vinyl.
Mostly non-vocal House last night during our visit.
Thunderpony is a resident DJ at Club Space in Miami.
Dance floor was packed!
Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
