Club Reports: Henao Contemporary Center, Revenge Of The Dead Coconut Club

The Henao Contemporary Center is located along Edgewater Drive in north suburban Lockhart and it was our first stop last night.
We were greeted at the entrance by beautiful Door Hostesses Corinn and Salome.
We walked into this.
DJ Zurrenda (USA) was in the booth playing Techno, often with vocals.
Over the years we’ve seen Zurrenda play at numerous clubs including Ace Cafe and The Patio.
Just not a lot of people in the club last night.
Besides the main room, the second room is home to Henao‘s large bar.
And then it was time for the headliner…..
DJ Edgar V (USA)
Last November Edgar V had played on the stereoBLOOM Stage at Electric Daisy Carnival – Orlando as seen here and he’s on the lineup again this year! For those asking when single day tickets are going on sale for this year’s EDC, they went on sale last year in mid-September so perhaps in the coming week.
Dance floor activity picked up a bit.
A lot of vocals in Edgar V’s “Melodic Techno” set so we were pleased with that!
Last year during Universal Studios “Halloween Horror Nights“, CityWalk’s Red Coconut Club reopened from its self-imposed slumber as the Dead Coconut Club. But this year RCC operated all summer and now, with Halloween Horror Nights back in operation again, RCC closed briefly for some renovations and has now reopened as Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club.
We walked into this.
Friday night resident DJ Chino (USA) was in the booth overlooking the dance floor.
Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club is highly themed!
There are decorations everywhere but we don’t want to spoil the fun as you’ll want to discover this for yourself! Universal owns the rights to so many classic characters.
Lots of Classic Party songs like “I Got A Feeling”, “Shots” and “Party Rock”.
An EDM segment that included DJ Darude (FIN) “Sandstorm“, DJ Fisher (AUS) “Losing It” and Orlando’s DJ Acraze (USA) “Do It To It” packed the dance floor!
Please be forewarned that Universal garage parking doesn’t become free until midnight during Halloween Horror Nights. (During most of the year it becomes free at 6PM.) So arrive via taxi or rideshare or just visit when you’re leaving your evening at HHN.
Of course you have to take the good with the bad, lol. We also heard line dance “The Wobble“, Orlando’s DJ Khaled (USA) track “All I Do Is Win” and the never going away “Teach Me How To Dougie“.
If you don’t want to dance, please, have a seat.
A good time was had by all.
