Concert Report: DisNite ’23 (Atlantic Dance Hall)

Last night was the 2023 edition of DisNite and Orlando Entertainment News were there to witness it!
It took place at Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
The event began at 8PM and the expansive dance floor was already filling up on our arrival at 8:30PM.
All three downstairs bars were open and it took us close to 45-minutes to get a drink in this queue. The lines would get even longer later!
The crowd seemed to be mostly 20-something Disney castmembers but everyone was welcome and there was no cover charge.
The music delivered by DJ Ryan (USA).
Once getting a drink, I took my traditional viewing spot on the floor but it was absolutely jammed!
Most of the songs at ADH are accompanied by music videos.
Of course there were 90’s baggy clothes songs from former Disney-alumnae Britney Spears (USA) with “Baby One More Time” & Christina Aguilera (USA) “Genie In A Bottle“.
I think the crowd was 75% female!
Everyone was in a great mood.
Even the upstairs was open last night and that never happens!
Don’t know if that is Elsa or Anna from “Frozen” but the song “Let It Go‘ was expected at some point. What was unexpected is the DJ played the Dave Aude’ (USA) club remix of the song!! Wow! We haven’t seen Dave Aude’ since 2013 when he played at Firestone Live as shown here.
90’s Eurodance hits got some love such as Technotronic (B) classic “Pump Up The Jam” and Haddaway (TT/D) hit “What Is Love“.
There was no let-up as the DJ kept the hits coming!
You haven’t lived until you’ve witnessed the “Hot Dog” song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse being sung in unison by a thousand people!
Biggest crowd I’ve ever witnessed here, even on NYE! Those around me who come here more often agreed.
Even though it was a young crowd, they knew the words to the songs including 80’s hits such as Human League (GB) song “Don’t You Want Me” and shown above, A-Ha (N) classic “Take On Me“.
The largest “Wobble” ever, at least here at Atlantic Dance Hall. Pay attention Disney. A little bit of advertising and ADH could be a profit center.
An amazing night with the Mouse and a good time was had by all.
