Club Reports: AC Skybar, Wicked Whiskeys, The Vanguard, Treehouse, Neon Beach

Our night of clubhopping last night began at AC Sky Bar
When you enter the ground floor lobby of the building, it’s necessary to take an elevator up to the 18th floor of the building which is where the Reception Desk for the AC Hotel by Marriott is located.
This is where you’ll find the AC Skybar inside bar.
And outside the doors, this very upscale outside bar and seating area. Everything was jammed last night.
There is debate as to whether AC Skybar or Skytop Lounge over there at Amway Center is better. AC Skybar has the higher view (18th floor vs 6th floor) but Skytop Lounge has DJ’s and a view of the Orlando skyline which you can’t see from Skybar‘s westward-facing vantage.
Both venues have great views of Interstate 4 though!
We usually don’t go to Country music venues here on Orlando Entertainment News but how can walk past the former Independent Bar location and not want to look in…..and cry.
DJ Alex Byrd (USA) was in the booth playing Country.
This new railing has been added since our previous visit and of course you can’t boot scoot without a real wood floor.
Not a lot of takers for Country music during our visit.
But when they played “The Wobble” (yes, “The Wobble”), there was considerably more interest from the patrons! Conway Twitty (USA) would roll over in his grave!
We haven’t been to The Vanguard in awhile so this was next on the list.
Arriving fashionably late, we walked into this!
Between the smoke and the darkness, it’s always hard to get pics in The Vanguard. We arrived to find DJ duo Memba (USA) on the stage.
Nowhere near as crowded as when we saw Tiësto (NL), Carl Cox (GB) or Andrew Rayel (MD) in here, the place was hardly empty either.
Headliner DJ Party Favor (USA) came on around 1AM but he was hard to see too.
I was expecting more of an EDM set but he quickly morphed to Heavy Bass and stayed there which meant we didn’t stick around for very long!
It’s been awhile since we visited Treehouse.
First you open the door and climb up into the tree.
Always a great vibe in here; everyone is happy!
No DJ here, just music from the adjoining Attic Nightclub which last night was more of that Heavy Bass.
Of course the main attraction at Treehouse is grabbing a drink or shot and then chilling picnic-style on the grass floor!
Final stop of the night; Neon Beach for their “Sunglasses At Night” program every Friday night. Some Fridays are House, some are Techno and last night was Trance!
Caught the tail-end of a set from DJ U4EUH (USA). First time seeing him since he opened for DJ duo Cosmic Gate (D) at Gilt back in 2018.
Love the Florida vibe at Neon Beach!
Loved the vibe on the dance floor too!
Resident DJ Derek Fereal (USA) was on next.
Always great to hear some Trance music!
Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
