Club Reports: Elevate Rooftop Lounge, Barbarella 2.0, The Robinson By King Bob in Club Reports June 5, 2022 When M Bar and M Lounge closed at the beginning of the year, we were sad to see Orlando’s “Antique District” lose those upscale venues. So we were thrilled to learn that Elevate Rooftop Lounge has opened in the upstairs portion of the complex. Open for about a week now, the grand opening will take place on June 24th and in the meantime you can still come and check it out. Taking the lift up to the 3rd floor, we walked into this! And a nice fire pit table was there as well. We were shown this raised area above a service room where they plan to station DJ’s on occasion. Last night it was just prerecorded music tilting towards Chill House. From our archives we found this view of Orlando’s downtown skyline off in the distance but last night could not replicate it. Perhaps it’s now blocked by Advent Health‘s new campus buildings; not sure. But we’ll check back on Elevate in a few weeks! You know by now if it’s at all possible on a Saturday night, we’re going to check out Independent Bar Barbarella Barbarella 2.0. It’s just not downtown anymore. We walked into this. With the mysterious DJ KC Cut (USA) in the booth. And a good crowd on the dance floor! The music is mostly 80’s New Wave with some Industrial which was great to hear after Friday night in Atlanta. Next moving into the Orlando CBD and The Robinson Cocktail Room. First you have to climb these stairs. And arriving at the top directly to this packed bar! And just past the bar, the Disco Room! Where we found DJ Brio (USA) playing some great 70’s Disco, early-80’s Funk and even some late-80’s Rick Astley (GB)! Dance floor was jammed! Because all that music is actually FUN! You know the place is legit when there isn’t just one but multiple shiny disco balls! Come check out Disco Saturdays at The Robinson. Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
