Saturday night and we’re at the world’s most famous beach, Daytona Beach.It was time for the annual Club 600 North Reunion show taking place at Grandview Live. This is just a block away from The Plaza Resort located at 600 North Atlantic Avenue, home to the original club that helped define central Florida nightlife back in the 90’s. But wait, no one told us this was a strip club! Since we don’t know what our camera might find, viewer discretion advised.The show began at 8PM and we arrived shortly thereafter and walked into this.The opener was already playing.The music all evening was Breaks.DJ Chuncky (USA)First time seeing Chuncky play!The early crowd.These two were dancing when we arrived. These two were still dancing when we departed.You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.Dance floor was getting populated quickly.And it soon was looking like this.At 9PM, the only DJ duo/B2B set of the evening.First up DJ Amber Jane (USA), going back-to-back every few songs with…..DJ Genesis (USA)Lots of old skool in their sets.The club nearly fell apart when Genesis dropped the Genesis remix of Chemical Brothers (GB) classic “Go”.It was still early yet the club was already getting jammed!That look you get from great Breaks.The club has a full liquor bar back there with good prices; my call brand Tanq & Tonic was just $10.These two play so well together.Amber Jane looked resplendent in her short shorts and Docs.We here at Orlando Entertainment News don’t just comment on female DJ attire. Genesis looked resplendent in his black DJ Genesis logo tee and Adidas trainers.The vibe was so thick you could cut it with a knife.Being a strip club, apparently the clubbers felt they needed to toss $1 bills up at the DJ’s! When asked what they’re going to do with all the cash, Amber Jane exclaimed, “We’re going to Denny’s.”This year’s event came with boom, delivered by HTG Designs and Jeff Kenney. Their Danley speakers were a noticeable improvement over last year. We ran into so many peeps from the central Florida music scene. Some were new but most we knew.Spotted backstage: DJ’s with their main squeezes. Through the haze we could see that the 10PM DJ had begun.DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA)Another old skool set included some great Breaks versions of “White Horse” and “Insomnia”.DJ had the club bouncing.Everybody having a good time.We didn’t see any shiny disco balls but the club did have several of these lighting contraptions.The setup last night was that the Reunion event took place on the near side of the large room while the strip club took place on the far side of the room. We promise we hardly ever looked.More peeps!Jimmy Joslin introducing the next headliner…..In the 11PM time slot…..DJ Mark Sanchez (USA)And he was as lively as we’ve ever seen him!Dance floor had become impassible.K5 (USA) hit “Passion” drew a roar from the crowd.Those looks you get from great Breaks.Those looks you get from great Breaks.After his set, Jimmy Joslin signing posters.As did Mark Sanchez after his set.Time was flying and the midnight DJ came on next.On this night of all-headliners, DJ Icey (USA).We heard a Breaks versions of Tyga (USA) hit “Rack City” (Short Edit) and Crystal Waters (USA) “100% Pure Love”.As well as several songs he played three weeks earlier at the “Labor Day Bash” at House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista such as “Diamond Girl”, “The One” and “Movin’ To The Sun”. They say you can never go wrong with Go Go girls.Well damn, they were right!It’s always an extra bonus when Kriss Reign (USA) dances at your event.DJ Icey looked resplendent in his black Zone RecordsFlorida State Road 808tee and Nike trainers.Icey’s set was so good, he even had Dorsey dancing!Last batch of peeps!Thank you everyone for your poses.DJ Icey turning over the controls to the final headliner of the night.At 1AM, the mysterious DJ X (USA).DJ X played at last year’s Reunion show too.
