Concert Report: Season 5 (Venice)

Taking place at the Ramada Hotel Venezia in Venice, we finally were able to make it out this year for Season 5.
Arriving around 1PM, we opened the door to the hotel lobby and walked into this!
Upstairs above the lobby, we met DJ duo Sanchez Brothers (USA).
First time seeing them play.
Their set a mix of Breaks and House music.
The inside bar was located near the lobby area.
Much of the early action was taking place out by the pool.
DJ Richard Hunt (USA) was playing the MC role.
The pool music had begun at Noon but we arrived to find DJ Odi Diaz (USA) in the 3PM slot.
If we hadn’t double-checked, we’d have thought Green Velvet (USA) was playing. Lots of Tech House.
On this hot and muggy day, the pool was the place to be!
Flow Star training class.
The venue’s busiest bar was out here by the pool.
The hotel is a mix of old Type 1 construction where the room entrances are facing outside.
And newer Type 2 construction where the room entrances are along an interior hallway.
The Disco Carousel room was scheduled to open at 4PM but it opened a bit early for testing.
DJ FACTORe (USA) and DJ Zak Davis (USA) together are…..
DJ duo Essential Freaks (USA).
They were playing a Dubstep/Heavy Bass set!
Back outside at the pool, DJ Dak Sparrow (USA).
Playing a House/Tech House set.
First time seeing this Tampa-based DJ.
Small crowd outside to listen to his set.
The Disco Carousel room was actually in the hotel’s restaurant. They didn’t have a shiny disco ball in there but they did have this shiny disco horse.
DJ Rad Solo (USA) in the 4PM slot.
First time seeing him too.
Upstairs above the hotel lobby, DJ Ramo G (USA).
One of the many DJ’s we saw yesterday for the first time.
Not the first time though seeing DJ Fun-D-Mentlz (USA).
A super-animated set that included Dance remixes of songs such as “You Dropped A Bomb On Me” and “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life”.
She was followed by DJ Luke Lethal (USA).
A House & EDM set.
Small crowd at the restaurant stage.
DJ Hellman (USA) & DJ Chedda B (USA) together are…..
DJ duo Cheesy Mayo (USA).
Only Drum & Bass set we recall hearing last night.
These two were taking turns outside at the pool.
The music a mix of House and Breaks.
Parade coming through.
We kept running into Kristin!
The only area of music we had not seen yet was titled Circus Maximus, the main stage! It opened at 7PM.
DJ Layne (USA) was the stage opener last night.
Mostly House and EDM from this St. Petersburg-based DJ.
Larger crowd in the already-established Disco Carousel room.
No wonder! DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA).
Delivering us a mostly Old Skool Breaks set.
Jimmy had the club bouncing.
Showing off his personal stash of rocket fuel.
You won’t want to miss Jimmy Joslin when he teams-up with Magic Mike, DJ Icey, DJ Craze, Baby Anne and Tony Faline at the annual Labor Day Bash on Sunday, September 6th at House of Blues in Disney Springs. Details HERE. Everybody gonna be there!
Outside at the pool, DJ Davie-D (USA).
A mostly Breaks set.
Always a special show when Davie-D is playing!
We ran into so many peeps from the music scene. Some were new but most we knew.
Shift change in the Carousel room.
The legendary DJ Sandy (USA).
Speaking of House of Blues, he was a Sunday night SIN resident DJ there for many years.
Last night a mostly Old Skool set too with several EDM songs remixed to Breaks.
In the main room, small crowd beginning to build in anticipation of the headliners playing here later.
DJ Soy Pasha (USA) playing at 8PM.
His set a mix of House and Tech House.
Dance floor had capacity though.
Tiger train coming through!
Dance floor was a bit busier in the restaurant room.
DJ Gio Leon (USA) coming on at 9:30PM.
He played an impressive mostly House set.
House music all night long.
Impressive set from the Tampa-based DJ.
We returned to Circus Maximus where the dance floor was filling-up.
DJ Ashrock (USA) and DJ Jimi the Genius together are…..
DJ duo Hydraulix (USA)
The Miami-based duo brought their Miami Bass game!
The lasers were flying.
The lobby and pool stages closed at 10PM so now all the energy was focused on Disco Carousel and Circus Maximus. On the latter stage, DJ Gumbee (USA) and DJ Dysko (USA).
We’ve seen Gumbee numerous times over the years but don’t recall seeing Dysko.
Both super-animated, interacting with the crowd below.
Packed crowd in the restaurant.
DJ duo Essential Freaks.
No Dubstep this time! Lots of EDM in their set.
Fun set!
Dance floor packed.
Lots of costumes in the crowd last night.
With only two stages remaining, the main room dance floor got crowded too.
For the mysterious and legendary DJ X (USA).
A mostly Classic Dance set ending with one of our favorites, Delerium (CDN) hit “Silence”.
One of last night’s headliners had come on at 11:30PM in the Carousel room.
DJ Doc Brown (USA)
House set.
First time seeing him live since he played at the Corona Electric Beach stage at EDC-Orlando back in 2018.
More peeps!
Thank you everyone for your poses.
Before 1AM, DJ Mikey Berreneche (C/USA) followed Doc Brown.
The Miami-based DJ is known for mixing Latin & Hip Hop sounds to tech house beats, he pretty much played just House & EDM last night.
Dance floor jammed throughout his set.
Good stuff.
DJ Justin Martin (USA) was supposed to go on at 1:30AM but a computer malfunction created a delay and Mikey Barreneche had to play “Extra Time”.
All good then and Justin Martin came on.
He would play a House / Dirtybird House type of set.
We last saw Justin Martin when he played to a packed dance floor at Elixir Bar in downtown Orlando back in 2023.
In the main room, DJ BT (USA) had taken over.
He was as animated as we’ve ever seen him.
A good mix of both vocal and non-vocal House. We might have heard a Trance song in there too.
Signing autographs after his set.
We last ran into BT last year while he was being interviewed at the Nexus Radio Lounge during Miami Music Week.
Everyone having a great time!
BT art!
Dance floor remained jammed after BT’s set.
Another legend in the club: DJ Andy Hughes (USA).
Always a great time when this Dallas-based DJ is in Florida.
His set mostly on the Breaks side.
Break beats begets Break dancing.
Closing time! We had finally made it to the 3AM sets. In the main room, DJ Dose (USA).
A great House set.
Jaime Anne’s platforms for the win!
Dose had a surprisingly large crowd as we approached 4AM!
In the Disco Carousel room, the closing 3AM set from DJ James Wolfe (USA).
Mostly Breaks over in this room.
Season 5 continues today, all night tonight and tomorrow too so come check it out. Last night, an amazing show and a good time was had by all.
