Club Reports: Good Times, Morse Code, Grumpys Underground, The Patio, Aero Bar

Night 2 of this party weekend! We began the evening in Orlando’s northern boonies at Good Times Bar & Grill in Maitland.
Located along Keller Road just west of Maitland Boulevard, we arrived around 10PM and walked into this!
On weekends they typically have live bands playing and the cover charge last night was just $5.
Black Diamond (USA) was on stage playing mostly 70’s & 80’s Rock anthems.
Good Times has become kind of the successor of the old Why Not Lounge in Altamonte Springs, attracting the 40-ish to 70-ish crowd.
The dance floor stayed packed for songs such as “We’re An American Band”, “Anyway You Want It”, “Kiss” and “One Way Or Another”. Good stuff.
Good Times has a shiny disco ball so you know they’re legit.
Had not heard Thin Lizzy (IRL) hit “The Boys Are Back In Town” in decades!
Live band Running With Scissors (USA) plays tonight. Our favorite Franchise Players (USA) plays Disco, Soul & Funk hits here on June 20th. And don’t forget their next “First Friday” Goth night here on June 5th ft. DJ Lavidicus (USA).
Moving away from Maitland, we next headed to downtown Winter Park, home to Morse Code. We’ve never really been sure if the venue is named after its location along Morse Boulevard or whether Morse Boulevard is named after the club.
But we stepped inside and walked into this!
DJ The Manti (USA) was in the booth upon our arrival.
Playing a great House/EDM mix.
Dance floor was getting occupied.
Always a great vibe at Morse Code.
They’re a wine & beer venue so no gin & tonic for me.
We ran into quite a few people from the local dance scene. Some were new but most we knew.
After his set, The Manti posing with his main squeeze Alicia.
We had sadly missed a set from DJ ZZ (USA) who had opened the night earlier. But coming on next, the legend…..
DJ Eric Berretta (USA)
He opened with DJ KJ of K5 (USA) hit “Passion” and then continued afterwards with a mostly Breaks set.
DJ had the room bouncing.
And a good time was had by all.
We next left suburbia and headed into the city. First stop, Grumpys Underground.
But we didn’t have a ticket so we had to first try to talk our way past the Door Hostess.
And we walked into this!
In the booth upon our arrival, DJ Nelly Fre$h (USA).
Playing a mostly Breaks set.
Dance floor stayed busy.
We ran into quite a few people from the local dance scene. Some were new but most we knew.
There was dancing going on inside and outside!
At midnight, shift change in the DJ booth.
DJ Sketti (USA)
Accompanied by Cazzy the Alien (USA).
Adding a different flavor to the DJ music.
Dance floor stayed busy.
And a good time was had by all.
There’s always a party at The Patio, or so they say.
But there really is. We walked into this!
Another legend, DJ Parry (USA) was in the booth last night.
The music mostly Hip Hop hits. We requested some Beyoncé (USA) and he played “Single Ladies” for us.
Bubble music!
We just made a brief pass through The Patio. Our ultimate destination was upstairs at Aero Bar.
Where we walked into this on the rooftop!
Friday/Saturday night resident DJ Dominick Morrison (USA) was expected.
What was unexpected was an entire set made up of Dubstep, Riddum and Trap!
When we were at Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival last month, we wondered where all the yutes were getting their fix of Dubstep from. Now we know.
The lasers were flying.
