Club Reports: Morse Code, Capital Room, House & Coffee @ Qreate

This is the train station in beautiful downtown Winter Park, a location that will see 4 Amtrak trains and up to 44 SunRail trains per day stopping here.
And the station is located along tony Park Avenue, famous for shopping and unique restaurants. But what it’s not famous for is nightlife since the town seems to roll-up their sidewalks after 10PM. And last night’s showers didn’t help.
There are actually a few places that keep going late including our favorite Morse Code.
We arrived last night to find DJ Pauly (USA) in the booth located at the front of the venue.
The music was a mix of Disco, Nudisco and House.
But the place wasn’t too busy last night with just one couple on the dance floor.
And several others seated near the DJ booth.
But a good time was had….by those here.
We next headed up to downtown Sanford, home to The Capital Room.
The bar is located in the front room and it’s jammed with craft liquors.
But the action takes place in the back room and we walked in to find these two playing.
DJ Stacy McClure and DJ SiR1 together are DJ duo Shenanigoons (USA).
The music order of the evening was mostly Breaks.
Those looks you get from great music.
They had the dance floor bouncing.
We ran into so many peeps from the dance scene. Some were new but most we knew.
Such a fun set!
Shift change at midnight.
Each taking turns, DJ Nikita (USA) and DJ Amber Jane (USA) with Amber Jane going first.
And DJ Nikita second.
Duo photo.
The Capital Room has become a regular staple on the Breakbeat circuit and Breaks events here always draw a good crowd. Lots of free parking in the downtown area add to the allure.
So many familiar faces out there.
Both DJ’s were super-animated last night.
Nikita used to part of DJ duo Phat Kidz (USA) as seen in this Blog archive photo from 2016 at Suite B Lounge in downtown Orlando. Great to see her back in the perch!
And we can never have too much Amber Jane!
Those looks you get from great music.
A good time was had by all.
Moving from Friday night to Saturday morning, this is the Creative Village district of Orlando, former home of the old Orlando Arena/Amway Arena and new home to the downtown campus of the University of Central Florida.
It’s also home to Qreate Coffee where a daytime party called “House & Coffee” takes place monthly.
Arriving shortly after 10AM, we walked into this.
DJ Nuans (USA) was on the decks when we first arrived.
His set a mix of House and Latin House.
Nuans had played the opening set on the kineticFIELD main stage at EDC-Orlando in 2024.
House music all day long!
Always a great vibe at “House & Coffee”; everyone is happy.
The music had the crowd bouncing.
Admission to “House & Coffee” is free with the only requirement being to help support the venue by buying something, anything. There’s coffee, pastries, croissants and the sweet ice tea for me. Cheap.
We had sadly missed the House set from DJ Gabi Giordan (BR) who had played earlier. She is flanked here by DJ Chino (USA) and DJ Rupesh (USA).
Spotted outside: DJ Nuans
Also spotted outside: Miss Daylite Orlando, Samantha.
Play-by-play from MC Chino.
Shift change at 11AM.
With DJ Don.wav_ (USA) taking over next.
He would continue with a mostly House set.
Ladies, forget those 2020-era bucket hats. For 2026, scarves are the rage! Whether they will be sustainable for this year’s music festivals remains to be seen. But you can check out our 2025 Festival Fashion Guide HERE.
Chino letting out some gas!
A good time was had by all.
