Club Reports: Barbarella 3.0, Iron Cow, Elixir Bar

By now you know the third iteration of Barbarella takes place every Saturday night inside The Axe Trap on Lee Road in Winter Park. But instead of making it our final stop last night, we surprised everyone by making it our first stop!
Just as it should be on a Saturday night, DJ Indie John (USA) was in the booth delivering the good stuff.
Which is 80’s New Wave & Alternative. Most songs are accompanied by Promo Only and DJ Rob Video Vault music videos that bring back the memories!
Spotted in the corner: This stripper pole pays homage to Winter Park’s famous (or perhaps infamous) strip club The Booby Trap which was previously located on this parcel of land.
Even though it was early, the dance floor was already seeing activity.
Barbarella 3.0 is open every Saturday night but Friday, October 25th will mark the return of “Memento Mori” here at The Axe Trap. That’s the gothier, darker cousin of Barbarella with DJ Lavidicus (USA) spinning Dark Wave, Industrial, Goth, Synthpop and Power Noise. Just in time for Halloween! Wear black.
Great start and we’re sure it got packed later. But we needed to be moving on…..
Located in Orlando’s Milk District, next stop was Iron Cow.
We walked into this!
In the perch, the legendary DJ Roni Size (GB).
The music of course, a rather Jungly Drum & Bass.
Always great to see Roni Size.
Two years ago this month Roni Size played at the so called “British Invasion” show at Ace Cafe along with Freestylers (GB), DJ Kraftykuts (GB) and Stanton Warriors (GB).
His super-fast beats-per-minute had the dance floor bouncing!
MC Collaborator (USA) was on hand to deliver much-needed narrative to the music.
Spotted outside.

Spotted in VIP: Jennifer joining Luis Evans of Vizion1 Entertainment. His next events include DJ Jody Wisternoff (GB) here at Iron Cow next Friday, October 18th TICKETS followed by the legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold (GB) at Kali Ultra Lounge on International Drive on Saturday, October 26th. The brand new Kali has Orlando’s most-amazing light system. TICKETS
That look you get from great Drum & Bass.
DJ Circle K (USA) had opened the night hours earlier and he was back on the decks to close it out.
Dance floor remained active.
No one was leaving just yet.
Next stop, a downtown favorite: Elixir Bar.
Where we walked into this!
DJ Anna De Ferran (MC)
A lot of Vocal House in her set which you know we really love.
She looked stunning in her black patterned mini dress and ankle boots.
Dance floor kept getting more and more packed and we were fortunate to have made it forward.
Her set had the dance floor bouncing.
Anna De Ferran is based in Monaco and it was our first time seeing her.
Really impressive set!
Party in VIP!

Spotted working the tech booth: DJ Pantoja (USA) has returned to Elixir.
And there she was! Spotted arriving through the crowd, the headliner…..
DJ Korolova (UA)
Less vocals than her predecessor but taking us on a Melodic House and Tech House journey. Some of her selections even had a Trance vibe to them.
Korolova was very animated all evening, constantly getting the audience to join-in the buildups and drops.
She looked so cool in her very-European outfit including transparent top, faded charcoal painter pants and chunky trainers. You don’t want to miss OEN‘s famous “Festival Fashion Guide”, updated for 2024, dropping in about 3 weeks, just in time for EDC-Orlando. 1-Day and 3-Day EDC passes here.
Close to 2AM and no one was leaving!

Elixir is your downtown location for so many great up-close-and-personal DJ shows. DJ duo Night Tales (AUS) plays here on Sunday, October 27th with advance tickets here.
Numerous Ukraine flags were spotted in the crowd for this Kyiv-based DJ.
Big thanks to Luis Evans and Justin Zeger for the professional courtesies. Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
