Club Reports: Grumpys Underground, The Wildflower, Iron Cow

Grumpys Underground has become Orlando’s “Home of Breaks” but when we visit it’s typically our last stop. Last night we made it our first stop!
We arrived to find DJ Rosk (USA) in the booth.
Breaks of course but also some Booty Breaks in his mix.
Even though it was early, the dance floor was seeing activity.
It’s a smaller venue but it’s always a popular destination.
Around 11PM, DJ Bryan White (USA) taking over.
He would continue with a mostly Breaks set.
He had the dance floor bouncing.
With a full-liquor bar, come check out Grumpys Underground.
The Baldwin Park neighborhood of Orlando is the former home of Orlando Naval Training Center, a large military base that was decommissioned and demolished during the 1990’s. Upscale homes replaced it including a town centre area full of shops and restaurants and is home to The Wildflower.
We visited last night for the first time and walked into this beautifully-decorated room.
The bar was busy but the service was quick.
All the way aft (as they say in the Navy), we found DJ Mighty Shari (USA) in the booth.
The music was a mix of classic Disco, Nu Disco and even some House.
Spotted in VIP: DJ Mike House (USA) and DJ NvS (USA)
The Wildflower didn’t have a proper shiny disco ball but they had these balloons decorated to look like shiny disco balls.
DJ Lola B (USA) had played earlier.
Located across from the T.G. Lee milk processing plant, a small section of Robinson Street is known as “The Milk District” and is home of to numerous bars, shops and places to eat. It’s also home to the appropriately named Iron Cow.
Well-past midnight, we walked into THIS!
DJ Kadilak (USA) in the booth finishing up his set.
Drum & Bass were the order of the evening at The Cow.
Of course you can’t have proper DnB without some narration, much of it provided by MC Collaborator (USA).
Dance floor was absolutely packed!
With everyone moving at high speeds!
We ran into so many peeps from the local scene…..
And then around 12:30AM, there he was, the headliner…..
DJ Circle K (USA)
Celebrating his birthday and a new record release!
Vocals provided by both MC Collaborator and MC Knoxz (USA).
He had the dance floor bouncing.
The shiny disco ball was spinning.
Tonight at Iron Cow will be a night of both House and Breaks, headlined by Dirtybird recording artist DJ J.Phlip (USA) and DJ Left/Right (USA). Tickets at the door or in advance here.
Tonight’s lineup also includes DJ Seth Vogt (USA), DJ Lowco (USA), DJ Tooltime (USA) and DJ Heather Collins (USA) so you know it’s gonna be a great one!
Meanwhile last night, everywhere we went, a good time was had by all.
