It occurred to us last night that we’ve never been to Will’s Pub before. But it was 70’s Night so we had to be there!We walked into THIS!The show already in progress, led by DJ Lex (USA).She was quite animated! Upon arrival, Donna Summer (USA) hit “I Feel Love” was playing. While definitely a Disco song, it was also one of the first big songs to incorporate a Moog synthesizer and was thus far ahead of its time!Lots of bell bottoms, platforms & go go boots. Dance floor was already busy for Disco songs such as “Boogie Oogie Oogie“, “Car Wash” and the slower “How Deep Is Your Love“.And getting jammed for forever young Abba (S) classics like “Dancing Queen” & “Super Trouper“.And of course you can’t have a 70’s Night without Village People (USA) “YMCA“. You know Will’s Pub is legit…..they’ve got a shiny disco ball above their dance floor!And the DJ had one too!The peeps want 70’s Disco! We’re looking at holding another 70’s Night downtown later this Spring so stay tuned!A good time was had by all.Big thanks to Blog reader Lanie who reminded us of this EDM party called “United We Dance” taking place last night at The Beacham!We walked into THIS!The show already in progress, led by DJ Adonix (USA).He is based in California.The dance floor was already crowded when we arrived.Some stood out more than others!EDM hits such David Guetta (F) ft. Bebe Rexha (AL/GB) “I’m Good” kept the dance floor full.You know The Beacham is legit…..they’ve got a shiny disco ball above their dance floor!Shift change around midnight!DJ Jonathan Hess (USA) taking over.Continuing with EDM hits of course but more apt to play short snippets of songs rather than longer versions. He is based in Virginia.The peeps want EDM! Friday nights at The Beacham have been a mix of all kinds of music formats these past few months with varying results but this EDM night was huge!This Spring’s trend of micro skirts were in abundance. OEN fully supports this trend!Spotted at the barrier.Absolutely packed for “Poker Face“, “Be My Lover“, “Paris” and “Outside“. All EDM & Big Room bangers all night! What a great night! A good time was had by all.
