This is Norwegian Cruise Line‘s ship Norwegian Joy which departed this past Saturday from Port Miami on a 4-night electronic music cruise branded by Insomniac as EDSea. There are several other electronic music cruises out there such as Groove Cruise and Holy Ship but this is the first time Insomniac has done one. There was unprecedented demand and it quickly sold out. We unfortunately didn’t make the cut. Pretty much all the big name DJ’s that are not playing at this weekend’s Electric Daisy Carnival – Orlando are playing onboard EDSea. Yesterday the ship spent a day at sea and today the ship is in Nassau. An outdoor concert is taking place adjacent the Prince George Wharf in a brand new facility called the Nassau Amphitheater. Tomorrow the ship is at NCL‘s private island Great Stirrup Cay and more DJ’s will be playing on the GSC Stage there. (Great Stirrup Cay is adjacent Royal Caribbean‘s private island Little Stirrup Cay, marketed as Coco Cay.) Would have loved to have been onboard for this one!
