Concert Report: Club 600 North Reunion (Daytona Beach)

This is the historic Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach and it was our home Saturday night for an amazing event!
Taking place up on top of the hotel, the Sky Rooftop Bar.
Where last night we celebrated Daytona’s most-famous nightclub ever, Club 600 North.
A great view of the famous SR A1A below and a continuous breeze coming in from the ocean across the road!
The show began at 8:30PM with Club 600 North resident DJ Mark Sanchez (USA).
Given the 600 North era, last night was completely about Breaks!
The early crowd was just getting started.
But within thirty minutes the dance floor already looked like this!
Of course if there’s a great Breaks event taking place in the area, Dorsey’s gonna be there!
Sky Rooftop Bar is a fantastic setting for any event!
Ending his set with Blog-favorite classic “Everyday“, it was all-too-soon time to turn over the controls.
DJ Eric Berretta (USA)
Going Breaks on us all-the-way!
Dance floor continued to get more-and-more crowded!
Such a great vibe!
Packed in front of the booth…..
Packed to the rafters!
There were two outdoor bars open plus this large inside bar.
Service with a smile!
Always great seeing Eric Berretta!
Spotted by the railing: Club 600 North original Lance with DJ Mark Sanchez.
Spotted earlier in the booth: Anthony with DJ Mark Sanchez.
We ran into so many peeps from the scene; some we knew and some we didn’t but do now!
It was suddenly 10:30PM and time for the next headliner!
DJ KJ of K5 (USA)
Opening the set with his biggest hit, “Passion” drove the crowd into a frenzy!
KJ was quite animated last night!
Spotted by the booth: DJ KJ with friend.
Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah!
When the Breaks are this good, moves were getting busted!
And then it was already 11:30PM and time for the mysterious but Exquisite DJ X (USA).
Lots of former WPYO 95.3Party in his set!
Dance floor was off-the-chain!
It became hard to move about the place! We’re told about 284 people were on the rooftop at one point!
DJ X was scratchin’ in front…..
DJ X was scratchin’ behind his back!
Those looks you get from great Breaks!
Amazing venue…..amazing night!
Spotted in VIP: Glyn S. Morgan & Josh Bent announced an upcoming Future Sound of Breaks popup party at Iron Cow on Saturday, October 14th! We’ve seen the lineup and all we can say is that when advance tickets go on sale soon, you need to grab them fast because Iron Cow is much smaller than the Ace Cafe you’re used to for FSOB events! Tickets will also be available at the door…..but only if there are any remaining tickets!
More peeps!
And then there was one! The closing set from DJ Rob-E (USA).
Rob-E is part of DJ duo Audiotrap (USA) and they will be playing on Day 3 of Electric Daisy Carnival – Orlando when the Rynobus Art Car Stage goes Breakbeats!
Based on last year, single day tickets for EDC should be going on sale within the next week. The Breaks lineup this year will include Huda Hudia (USA), Keith Mackenzie (USA), Si-Dog (USA), Lee Coombs (GB/USA), DJ Matrix & Supagroover (USA), Dave London (GB/USA), Sweet Charlie (USA), Mizzo (USA) and Stylus (USA). Of course, DJ Icey (USA) will be on a mainstage! You can get EDC tickets here.
It was 1AM and no one was leaving just yet!
Breaks are alive and well, thanks for asking!
A good time was had by all.
