Shipwrecked Music Festival (Tampa)

Shipwrecked Music Festival is a 2-day affair that always takes place on Gasparilla weekend in Tampa’s Ybor City neighborhood. It takes place at the Cuban Club and Orlando Entertainment News came out for Day 2.
The main stage is outdoors and we arrived shortly after the opening to check it out.
DJ Crooklyn Soul (USA) was the opener out here, playing mostly House.
Just a handful dancing at this early hour.
That building in the background is the Cuban Club event center itself. Its basement is home to the second stage.
DJ Goldscrolls (USA) was in here playing Heavy Bass.
Back outside, darkness had arrived and floor activity was slowly picking-up.
DJ Dose (USA) rocking the house with House!
Dose had recently played on the acclaimed Groove Cruise.
He had the crowd bouncing.
At 7PM they switched it up with the Heavy Bass DJ’s moving outside and the House DJ’s moving inside. So we went inside!
It took awhile for the crowd to figure out they needed to move too so just a few on that inside dance floor.
For DJ Chillin’ Williams (USA).
More House music from this Miami-based DJ.
There was actually a third area of music. An inflated hut was home to three DJ’s playing in a “silent disco” format.
Patrons received a pair of headphones that lit up in blue, green and red depending on what channel and what DJ they were listening to.
There were also numerous art installations and craft kiosks scattered throughout the grounds.
Still inside, DJ Daniel Orpi (E) was up next.
Now based in London, he had brought a crowd!
The dance floor was jammed almost to the rear of the room.
The night was progressing fast and House music now switched back outside for DJ duo Cocodrills (USA).
The duo had just recently played at Elixir Bar in downtown Orlando.
Being Miami-based, it came as no surprise that they would include several Latin House tracks in their set. I know I heard some Bad Bunny (USA) in there, lol.
A House remix of old The Supremes (USA) hit “You Keep Me Hangin On” was awesome!
10PM and the tarmac was jammed!
DJ Minx (USA) on the main stage! Hailing from Detroit, she’s best known for her Techno but last night she continued with the House theme of the event.
You can never go wrong with Go Go Girls.
Visiting with both backstage after her set.
Spotted in VIP: Storm, DJ Dack (USA) and Amelia
Spotted on the dance floor: Amy
Spotted by the bar: Jaime Anne and Sarah
We also met lots of new peeps!
Including this group at the barrier!
And then the headliner that everyone had been waiting for! DJ Green Velvet (USA).
Opening with “Deceiver” (I see your lips movin…but what you talkin bout?), his collaboration with DJ Chris Lake (GB).
Always animated!
When he collaborates with DJ Claude vonStroke (USA), the duo goes under the Get Real (USA) brand and last night “Jolene” got played! He would play several more of his Tech House hits.
Packed to the rafters!
And the lasers began flying!
Everyone was bouncing!
It was a fun night at Shipwrecked and a good time was had by all.
