Following a quick trip to Alaska, it was Friday night in the city. Beginning the evening at Barbarella for “Discotheque”. DJ Flashdrive (USA) in the booth playing Disco and Nu-Disco.Just a handful on the dance floor when I first arrived.The DJ booth is brought down to the floor on Friday nights.Flashdrive never fails to amaze as he masterfully crafts a vibe.Dance floor activity quickly began to build.“Discotheque” happens every Friday night and admission is free. However, in two weeks they will have a ticketed event as Grammy-nominated DJ Todd Terry (USA) will be playing! Advance tickets here.Next stop Celine Nightclub.Arrived in time to catch the tail-end of a set by DJ duo Yokai (USA).Dance floor was already jammed!And then, there he was, the reason everyone was here: DJ Claude vonStroke (USA).Everyone surged forward!Spotted on the dance floor: TraciSpotted in the thick of things: Kelly & MauricioSpotted up front (of course): Storm & AmeliaClaude vonStroke plays on and created the Dirtybird Records label. We had not seen him play since 2018 at The Beacham. PHOTO LINKDuring my visit his set was House rather than the Dirtybird House he’s famous for but he had everyone bouncing!Saw a line waiting to get into Elixir Bar so had to check it out!Out on their famous patio, DJ duo Marsh & Nox Vahn (USA).Elixir was packed too!The music Deep House almost Trance.Nox Vahn & Marsh play on the Anjunadeep record label.Everywhere I went last night, a good time was had by all.
