Club Reports: McQueens, Treehouse, Elixir Bar, The Patio

Following Hurricane Ian, we thought there would be some pent-up demand for music and partying so we began our Friday night at McQueens.
Located upstairs from Bullitt Bar, McQueens is home to this now-famous gold skull selfie wall.
The DJ booth used to be up on the third floor overlooking the second floor but there is now a proper booth right here on the main level. Indeed, with promoters bringing in world class DJ’s too at McQueens such as the recent shows by Max Chapman (GB) and Omnom (USA), you can’t have them playing from a spot where no one can see them!
Last night we found DJ Legacy (USA) here playing mostly House.
The former basketball hoop spot is now home to a VIP booth. The venue wasn’t very busy during our visit.
We haven’t visited Treehouse in awhile.
First you climb the stairs to go up into the tree.
There’s always a great vibe in here; everyone is happy,
No DJ here, just prerecorded music which last night was mostly Hip Hop hits.
Of course the main attraction at Treehouse is grabbing a drink or shot and then chilling picnic-style on the grass floor.
Next over to Elixir Bar where you can always find House music.
It was “Fly Fridays” last night brought to you by Orlando’s Hottest Hit Music station, FLY 103.1.
With DJ Chino (USA) playing mostly House music,
The outdoor bar held a crowd.
But like pretty much all of downtown last night, the dance floor did not.
You know, when a nightclub such as The Patio has the balls to claim that there’s “Always A Party” at their location, one has no choice but to call them out on it and verify, verify, verify!
And given the lack of people downtown last night, this would be a chance to prove them wrong. However, we walked into THIS on the dance floor.
With resident DJ Parry (USA) in the booth playing mostly Hip Hop hits.
Hurricane Ian’s passing and counter clockwise rotation brought chilly northern winds to Orlando and there were even snow flurries falling on this roofless club.
And the dance floor was jamming!
Well damn, there really IS always a party at The Patio. A good time was had by all.
