Club Reports: Stars On The Water Theater, Euphoria Lounge, Oasis Room (Margaritaville At Sea Paradise)

This is the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. Every other day it offers 2-night cruises from the Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas. Formerly the Grand Classica for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and before that the Costa Classica for Costa Cruises, the ship is older but has been extensively refurbished and re-themed for that Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville vibe. Prices can be ridiculously cheap and for a few more days they are running a BOGO where you pay for Passenger 1 and Passenger 2 sails for FREE. (International taxes for each passenger are extra.) Check it out here.
We began our first night on board at the Stars on the Water Theater on Deck 8 forward.
Home to “Jimmy’s Ship Show”.
Jimmy Buffet (USA) himself has actually appeared live on board a couple times for his ship show but usually its others standing-in for the storyteller. Songs in the show included “Changes in Latitude”, “Son of a Son of a Sailor”, “I Don’t Know”, “Cheeseburger In Paradise”, “Vocano”, “Fins” and many more.
You really don’t need to be a parrothead to enjoy the show, or the cruise. But don’t sit on the ground level in the theater if you don’t want to interact with the show’s actors!
Stay up in the bleachers or you might get pulled-into show!
“Jimmy’s Ship Show” is presented on both nights of the cruise so you can attend either one. It’s lively and a good 45-minutes or so of fun.
Next stop, the Euphoria Lounge on Deck 8 Midship.
Here we found the “Decades Party” in progress with Sunset Band (BR) singing 70’s, 80’s & 90’s hits live!
The ship’s Animation team was dressed in 70’s Go Go to get patrons onto the dance floor.
With varying degrees of success.
Nearly every seat in the large lounge was occupied.
The same lounge was used on Night 2 of the cruise for “Quest”. If you’ve ever cruised on any ship, you know about “Quest” and it’s too fun to miss!
The Oasis Room on Deck 9 Aft is home to the ship’s main dance club.
Here we found DJ Chippy (RP) in the booth. We had seen him earlier on the pool deck during the “Fins Up Sail Away Party”.
Dance floor was pretty active.
The music was Caribbean-beats and American Top 40 during our visit. You won’t hear House & Techno on Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, lol. Everywhere we went, a good time was had by all.
And for those that had toooo good of a time, the ship does have a chapel on board for you to repent and promise to never drink that much again! (Note: This article was mostly about the entertainment options on board this ship. For an overall look at this cruise, see our travel blog article here.) Fins up!
