Located downstairs at Pointe Orlando<\/em> along International Drive, Blue Martini <\/em>has operated here for more than a decade after they relocated from Mall at Millenia<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We’ve visited various times over the years to see local DJ’s play but Naples-based promotion company AVORA House Entertainment<\/a><\/em> will be bringing world-class DJ’s to the venue beginning last night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The doors opened around 9PM with opening DJ Gerardo Aragon (USA) in the booth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
His EDM set was all over the place…..and we mean that in a really good way! There were early 80’s songs such as “Rapper’s Delight” and “Another One Bites The Dust”, remixed to EDM beats. There were mid-80’s songs such as “Never Gonna Give You Up” and “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, remixed to EDM.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Of course the opening DJ usually faces an empty room.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But a crowd would slowly build for the Naples-based DJ.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

By 10PM it was beginning to look like this.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We heard some Classic Dance too such as Estelle (USA) 2008 hit “American Boy” and Sophie Ellis-Bextor (GB) 2001 banger “Murder On The Dance Floor”. We also got some newer EDM such as Kaskade (USA) hit “Atmosphere” and Fisher (AUS) hit “Take It Off”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Gerardo Aragon had played at last month’s Season 5<\/em> music festival in Venice, although on a different night than when we were over there to photograph it. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Great set as the dance floor got populated.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Around midnight Miami-based DJ Fresko (PE\/USA) came on. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
His mostly Latin House set only lasted about a half hour though.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Blue Martini<\/em> has this bar up front below the raised stage but also other large bars throughout the premises. But anyone down on that dance floor has terrific sight lines with the DJ. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It was getting crowded.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Only a half-hour set because around 12:30AM, there he was, the headliner…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Cedric Gervais (F\/USA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Miami-based DJ would open with Green Velvet (USA) classic “La La Land” followed by Daft Punk (F) “One More Time”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

While it did get crowded…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There was still some capacity in the large venue.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Playing his Grammy-winning Dance remix of Lana del Rey (USA) hit “Summertime Sadness”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We haven’t seen Cedric Gervais live since he performed at EDC-Orlando<\/em> way back in 2013.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We’ll keep you posted on any future AVORA <\/em>events, especially if they’re bringing big names like this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
