If the price tag for other events on NYE is a bit steep for you, please be aware that both Universal <\/em>and Disney <\/em>have FREE events taking place at both properties. Last night, we scoped them out for you. We began at Universal’s CityWalk<\/em> complex.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
An absolutely packed crowd will be standing down here beneath the waterfall dancing to DJ music.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The DJ booth along the CityWalk <\/em>promenade was already lit-up last night during our visit and DJ Josh Lawrence (USA) will be delivering the tunes from up here on NYE. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
CityWalk<\/em>‘s only true dance club is the Red Coconut Club<\/em>, rebranded as the Green and Red Coconut Club<\/em> for the holidays.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It’s been decorated as a winter wonderland.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Last night we found DJ Marg (USA) in the booth playing Disco, Top 40 and Line dances during our visit. For NYE, former CityWalk <\/em>resident DJ Chino (USA) will be playing at the Coconut<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And it will get packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Rising Star<\/em> will be open on NYE for Karaoke.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This is the only Karaoke bar in town where you do the singing but you’re accompanied by a live band and dancing girls!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Between Karaoke sets a DJ will be spinning Top 40 and the dance floor goes crazy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Bob Marley’s<\/em> will be open for Reggae performed by a live band and a DJ between band sets.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Pat O’Brien’s<\/em> is still there for free dueling pianos.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Finally, Margaritaville <\/em>is primarily a restaurant but it becomes a club at night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Like last night, expect a live band here on NYE with more of a Jimmy Buffet (USA) casual vibe.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Sadly, CityWalk<\/em>‘s prior main dance club The Groove<\/em>, did not reopen after the covid19 closures and was repurposed as an escape room.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And Latin Quarter<\/em> is now also long gone. CityWalk <\/em>will be free on NYE. Garage parking becomes free at 6PM in case you want to dine or shop before the revelry begins. Dining reservations are highly recommended.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Over on Disney <\/em>property you’ll find a dozen or so musical acts (mostly bands and vocalists) at Disney Springs<\/em>. Andrew Luv & The Franchise Players (USA) will be performing on the Waterside Stage<\/em> in Marketplace<\/em>, La Calle (USA) will be on the Waterview Stage <\/em>at the Landing <\/em>and Drey-C (USA) will be at the Orange Node<\/em> on the West Side<\/em>. Many more scattered acts around Disney Springs<\/em> too. Disney Springs<\/em> entry and garage & surface lot parking are free too. If you’re planning to dine there, reservations are highly recommended and allow extra time to park and get inside. Please be aware: No fireworks.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Last night we also visited Atlantic Dance Hall <\/em>which will be home to a free NYE party. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Just not a lot of people there last night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Michael Masters (USA) was in the booth last night but we don’t know yet who will be spinning here on NYE.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The music is mostly old and new Top 40 hits and Line dances.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A decent amount of EDM last night as well with tunes by David Guetta (F) and Lil Jon (USA) during our short visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
First time seeing DJ Michael Masters.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The Spaceship Earth <\/em>ball is off in the distance so EPCOT<\/em>‘s massive NYE fireworks show around midnight is viewable from the ADH <\/em>upstairs balcony.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Typical NYE crowd from the OEN <\/em>photo archives. Atlantic Dance Hall<\/em> is located at Disney’s Boardwalk<\/em> Resort <\/em>where admission and parking are free.
