By now you know that Barbarella <\/em>relocated earlier this year from an industrial park off John Young Parkway to a new place inside The Axe Trap<\/em> on Lee Road in Winter Park. They are open every Saturday night with a mostly 80’s New Wave and Alternative music format.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And about one Friday per month, they are open for “Memento Mori” with a darker Gothier, Industrial & Power Noise format. This being the holiday season though, Axe Trap<\/em> was completely booked out on Fridays for private events so last night was a combo of their regular Saturday and Friday nights. And just as it should be on a Friday<\/s> Saturday night, we found DJ Lavidicus (USA) in the booth delivering the tunes along with Lighting Tech Ernie. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We had arrived close to their 10PM opening time and there was already a crowd on the dance floor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The early set mostly 80’s New Wave classics. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
So many Barbarella <\/em>girls!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
After 11PM, Lavidicus would switch it over to the darker stuff.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The Axe Trap<\/em> building is located on sacred grounds where Winter Park’s famed Booby Trap<\/em> strip club<\/s> gentlemen’s club was once located. This pole in the corner pays homage to it.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dance floor got jammed with more beautiful people. You can wear your favorite color to Barbarella<\/em>, as long as your favorite color is black.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Located just off Sand Lake Road, London House<\/em> is a private members-only venue that has a restaurant section and a separate dance club section called “The Bond Room”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We arrived to find resident DJ Chymera (USA) in the booth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Just a couple dancers on the floor when we first got there.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But that would quickly change. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The party had begun!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music is just about 100% EDM and Top 40 hits remixed to an EDM beat.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The bar was jammed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Club Hostess Nora was in attendance! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And on the far right, of course we know former Suite B Lounge<\/em> owner Sammy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They say you can never go wrong with Go Go girls.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Well damn, they <\/em>were right!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
