Thanksgiving Eve in Orlando can only mean one thing: the AAHZ Reunion<\/em>. AAHZ dates back to the late 80’s to early 90’s period when it was a club night right here at the Beacham Theater. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The event began at 9PM with the opener, DJ Jimmy Joslin (USA). The stage was kept quite dark so it was difficult to see the performers from the floor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There was a pretty long queue outside and it would take awhile for the floor to populate.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But before the end of Jimmy Joslin’s set, it was already looking like this. His set included a lot of 80’s New Wave hits from the AAHZ <\/em>era.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Dance floor was getting active for Andy’s very old skool set!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At 10:30PM, DJ AK1200 (USA) was up next. Noted as being one of America’s premier Drum & Bass DJ’s, we were anticipating what he’d play because during the AAHZ <\/em>era, DnB had not yet been invented. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dance floor became packed during AK’s set.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And he would deliver a lot of music from 1989-1991.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We ran into so many peeps we know from the Orlando dance scene!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

From the floor one could only notice the distinctive haircut from DJ Monk (USA). <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As one would expect from Monk, mostly old skool Breaks.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was difficult to move about the place.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And then at midnight, there he was!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Icey (USA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And he delivered what the crowd came for…..a lot of Breaks classics!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

An Orlando native, DJ Icey is considered the inventor of Funky Breaks & Florida Breaks. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls and it was great to see dancer Kriss Reign (USA) bouncing to Icey’s tunes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

No one was leaving just yet!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The lasers were flying.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
