By now you know that if we\u2019re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we\u2019re on. We\u2019re currently sailing on Royal Caribbean<\/em>‘s massive and brand new Utopia of the Seas<\/em> doing a 3-night cruise to Nassau and private island Coco Cay<\/em> (Little Stirrup Cay) in the Bahamas sailing from Port Canaveral.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Of course we had to attend the traditional Sail Away Party taking place by the pools on Deck 15.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And up on Deck 16, some of the ship’s animation team and…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
…..DJ Ruby Voo (BR)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was absolutely packed and we heard the cruise ship traditional line dances such as “Cupid Shuffle”, “The Wobble” and “Cha Cha Slide”. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But also traditional party hits such as “Dynamite”, “I Gotta Feeling” and “Gonna Make You Sweat”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Conga line coming through!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Packed to the rafters!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ had people dancing in every possible empty spot!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This ship is jammed with entertainment choices and no shortage of bars including Pesky Parrot <\/em>on Deck 5.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This venue is a south Pacific-themed tiki bar with alcoholic-flavored slurpee-like drinks!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
One wall has these louvered windows with an island view featuring swaying palm trees. This is very reminiscent of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto<\/em> at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort<\/em>. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But watch out for this pesky parrot. He’s mean and has a dirty mouth!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We also dropped by Schooner Bar<\/em> on Deck 6.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Schooner Bar<\/em> is a tradition on all Royal Caribbean<\/em> ships but this one is not surprisingly larger than most and brighter than most.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
As the name indicates, very nautical-themed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was 60’s Night and pianist Andy Morris sang songs such as “Brown Eyed Girl”, “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Hit The Road Jack”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Another music venue aboard Utopia of the Seas<\/em> is simply called Music Hall<\/em> and located on Deck 8.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And it was 70’s Disco Fever night at the Hall.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Featuring the “Utopia of the Seas Showband” (Multi Nationality).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The male vocalist is from New Zealand and the female vocalist from Norway.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Ground floor view with another seating area (and a pool table) above it on Deck 9.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dance floor got populated for 70’s hits such as “Celebration”, “September”, “Let’s Groove Tonight” and “Brick House”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Plus “We Are Family”, “Dancing Queen” and “Last Dance”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was a fun show.
