Two weekends in-a-row at the brand new Mango’s Ultra Lounge<\/em>, located upstairs above Mango’s Tropical Cafe <\/em>along International Drive.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When we arrived shortly before 10PM there was already a small crowd gathered.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was a night of Techno and we found DJ Carlos Mendoza (USA) in the booth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
When you think of Techno in Orlando, Carlos Mendoza immediately comes to mind.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
As it should be, the music was booming!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Some songs with vocals, some with an Industrial vibe, much on the Minimal side.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Mango’s Ultra Lounge<\/em> is the temporary name for this venue with the “real” name to be released soon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Carlos played on the kineticFIELD <\/em>main stage last year at Electric Daisy Carnival-Orlando<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The graphics package last night was completely different from what we saw last weekend for Borgeous (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
No club in Orlando has more-impressive lighting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
VIP party coming through!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
They say you can never go wrong with Go Go girls.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Damn, they <\/em>were right!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Carlos would do a 3+ hour set.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We first met Carlos Mendoza in 2012 at Senso Supper Club<\/em> downtown when he opened for DJ Nicole Moudaber (RL\/GB) as seen in this Blog <\/em>archives photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As midnight drew closer, the dance floor was really getting jammed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
He had everyone bouncing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Last weekend here at Mango’s Ultra Lounge<\/em> we had run into so many people we knew from the scene but last night, comparatively few.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We did get to meet fellow-photographer Kelly.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And then shortly after midnight, there she was…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
…..the headliner…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Fatima Hajji (E)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
She began with a song that had maybe ten to fifteen seconds of melodic sound to start…..and then BOOM, she cut-loose!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And the fast-paced beats never let-up the rest of the night!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The packed crowd finally got brave enough to dance up near the booth, lol.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Fatima was relentless!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And she was so <\/em>into her set.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The graphics included her distinctive bowl-cut with bangs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We last saw Fatima Hajji play back in mid-2022 at Skylounge <\/em>atop then-named Amway Center<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

She plays tonight at Club Loo<\/em> Loo <\/em>in Mexico City.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
