This is the EDC-Orlando <\/em>Daisy art culpture located at the corner of Orange Avenue and Pine Street downtown. It serves as a reminder that EDC <\/em>Weekend is now less than 2 weeks away! 1-Day and 3-Day passes are on sale here<\/a> and also be aware that Saturday often sells out so if you’re thinking of going, you might not want to wait.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And this was downtown last night! It was great to be back in DTO and we decided to only visit Orlando’s newer clubs; those that have opened in the past two years.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We began at Bellhop<\/em>, the hotel-themed venue that opened in April, 2022 in space formerly occupied by a Subway <\/em>franchise.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Come to the mid-20th century themed hotel lobby to get your room key…..and maybe a drink!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We found DJ B8TS (USA) in the booth playing light Hip Hop during our visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The staff was dressed in their Halloween finest.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next stop Fixtion <\/em>which opened August, 2022 in the former Sideshow <\/em>spot.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We walked into THIS!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Saturday night resident DJ Hype (USA) was in the booth playing mostly EDM and Top 40 EDM remixes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This guy in the lighting\/sound booth looked very familiar!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Of course there were costumes!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next it was over to Proper <\/em>which opened in March of this year in the former Vyce <\/em>nightclub spot.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We walked into THIS!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Upon arrival, we found DJ Andre Mack (USA) in the booth playing Top 40 classics.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He would alternate with DJ Black Suede (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
At Proper <\/em>the DJ’s only play off vinyl. The shelves have plenty of club-owned albums but the DJ’s typically bring their own as well.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There’s plenty of top shelf liquor…..literally and figuratively.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The dance floor stayed packed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Our fourth and final stop last night was at Barbarella<\/em>. They used to be located downtown but moved to this spot off John Young Parkway in April, 2022. You won’t find any Barbarella <\/em>signs outside; you have to look for this Clearone Badminton<\/em> sign on the building! You see, it’s located in a badminton and pickleball facility.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Already after 1AM, we walked into THIS!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Rob Bates (USA) was in the booth delivering 80’s New Wave and Alternative.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Barbarella <\/em>is only open on Saturday nights for New Wave but they also open on the second Friday of each month for Industrial and other darker genres.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
You can always wear your favorite color here…..as long as your favorite color is black!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted on the dance floor: Rosie the Riveter and Jessica Rabbit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
