By now you know that if we\u2019re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we\u2019re on. So here we were on MSC Seaside<\/em> doing a quick Labor Day weekend mini-cruise to the Bahamas. On the first night of the sailing, this ship’s version of a 70’s Disco party was called Sunshine Party<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music was delivered by the ship’s resident DJ Burn (RP). <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Originally scheduled to take place on one of the pool decks, blustery conditions sailing out of Port Canaveral forced the show to be moved to the ship’s multilevel atrium. This worked out great as there was A\/C and the ship’s animation team could show off their Disco moves from the different levels above.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
So much yes!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The show had a host along with the dancers.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dance floor stayed jammed for Disco classics such as “Get Up and Boogie”, “Stayin’ Alive”, “Hot Stuff” and “That’s The Way I Like It”. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But there were a lot of 80’s hits too such as “Billie Jean”,”Sweet Dreams” and “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Confetti explosion!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The ship’s animation team was in their finest 70’s threads!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Did I mention discovery of this drink called a “Frozen Toblerone”? It’s made with Bailey’s Irish Creme, Macadamia Nut Syrup, Swiss Chocolate Syrup and whipped cream. OMG!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
On Night 1 of the cruise, a good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The ship’s sole destination was MSC<\/em>‘s private island, Ocean Cay, Bahamas. It’s home to this lighthouse as seen during the day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This is the same view on Night 2 of the cruise where they put on a light show whenever a ship is in port overnight.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
MSC Seaside<\/em> was looking resplendent at night as well. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Resident DJ Burn (RP) joined here in the booth by MC Nicole (NAM). <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Beach Party! Lots of Top 40 old and new on the playa.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Plus the requisite Line Dances such as the “Cupid Shuffle”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next stop, the Miami Beach Pool on Deck 16 aft.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It’s where the Tropical Party was happening.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The ship’s animation team was leading the mostly Latin dances.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
With music provided by trio Latin Sugar (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There was Salsa, Bachata and Reggaeton.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
So the next stop was the indoor and air conditioned Garage Disco<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Heavily themed in 50’s decor!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This 50’s model Cadillac dominates the inside of the club and it’s also home to the DJ booth!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Except the music was on autopilot with no DJ on duty.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The Fifties bar was pretty jammed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music track was a mix of EDM and Hip Hop hits.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And a good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
One more stop to be made on Night 2: The South Beach Pool<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This guy was literally everywhere. DJ Burn (RP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
While Garage Disco<\/em> is indoors on Deck 7 aft, the South Beach Pool<\/em> is outdoors not far away.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ was playing some Classic Dance when we first arrived but it was Hip Hop and Rap that jammed the dance floor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The main section is covered even though it’s outdoors and there is also a large bar.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But close to 2AM there was a deluge and some people just had to run out there, lol. Tonight for Night 3, MSC<\/em>‘s famed “White Night Party”.
