Saturday night in the city and beginning our night checking out the entertainment options at Walt Disney World<\/em>. We began in the quaint former citrus town that is Disney Springs<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Since the conversion of Downtown Disney<\/em> to Disney Springs<\/em> and all the changes that occurred in conjunction with that, we just don’t get out here that much any more. Let me tell you, it was absolutely packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We began our journey in Disney Springs West Side<\/em> which is home to House of Blues<\/em>. Some kind of Rock concert was taking place inside. You’ll want to be here 3 weeks from tonight on September 3rd for the “Labor Day Bash” ft. DJ Icey (USA), DJ Magic Mike (USA), Stanton Warriors (GB) and more! Advance tickets can be purchased in person at the HOB <\/em>box office or online here<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On the House of Blues<\/em> patio, this duo was playing Bluegrass.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On the Splitsville Lanes<\/em> patio, this trio was playing “Sweet Caroline” and other classic Rock songs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Now let’s cross this bridge one more time to beautiful Pleasure Island<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Adventurers Club<\/em> was heavily renovated to become The Edison<\/em> and there are old time radio shows by The Sound Society<\/em>. Our arrival was after their last set.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But resident DJ Mynd (USA) was still in the booth playing mostly Deep House until 11PM. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Before the Covid closures this would become the liveliest venue in Disney Springs<\/em> with those tables being cleared and this becoming a packed dance floor. They haven’t brought that back and we’re sad about that.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Always great running into DJ Mynd!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The opposite side of West End Plaza<\/em> from The Edison<\/em> is STK <\/em>which has a DJ on duty every evening and usually afternoons on weekends. STK <\/em>was new construction, replacing the Comedy Warehouse<\/em> building. Here we found DJ Big Scoob (USA) playing mostly EDM and Old Skool.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Whether you walk by the Hub <\/em>at 10AM or walk by at 10PM, you will find a line for cookies outside Gideon’s Bakehouse<\/em>. Have to admit it, they’re doing more business than the PI Live Bar<\/em> which used to stand on this corner!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Raglan Road<\/em> remains Raglan Road<\/em>. We found this duo delivering the expected Irish music.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Rock’N’Roll Beach Club<\/em> was razed to make room for the Waterview Stage<\/em>. The band Rexine (USA) had already ended for the evening when we passed by.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Leaving the Island <\/em>for Disney Springs Marketplace<\/em>, the massive Waterside Stage<\/em> had a crowd! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It was great to see Drey-C (USA) after all these years!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Drey-C and his band was one of the original music acts in Downtown Disney<\/em> when the Mouse <\/em>added entertainment on Pleasure Island<\/em> set among all the closed nightclub buildings.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In this November, 2012 file photo, the Andre Caram Band (USA) ft. Drey C was playing on the Purple Stage<\/em> in West End Plaza<\/em> outside Comedy Warehouse<\/em>. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With our visit to Disney Springs<\/em> completed, it was time to head over to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort<\/em> and Disney<\/em>‘s only remaining owned and operated dance club, Atlantic Dance Hall<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The price is right…..FREE…..and we walked into THIS!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
You never know who’s going to be playing here on any given night but we got lucky and found DJ Michael Wycoff (USA) in the perch.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Disney <\/em>doesn’t advertise Atlantic Dance Hall<\/em> but this summer we’ve come here several times to find large crowds. Word about the place has apparently gotten out!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music is Top 40 old and new with requisite line dances such as “Cupid Shuffle”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And getting low low low for “Apple Bottom Jeans”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Atlantic Dance Hall <\/em>is one of the few clubs in the Orlando area where some of the patrons wear Mouse <\/em>ears. OK, we admit it, it’s the ONLY club in the Orlando area where some of the patrons wear Mouse <\/em>ears!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Most of the music at ADH <\/em>is accompanied by their music videos.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The place is massive so it’s hard to look crowded but last night, it looked crowded!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
They have not just one but two shiny disco balls above the dance floor so you know the place is legit!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
