By now you know that if we\u2019re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we\u2019re on. Earlier this week we reported on the ship we were on, Margaritaville at Sea<\/a> Paradise<\/em>. They offer 2-nt cruises every other day from Port of Palm Beach<\/em>. The destination is Freeport, Grand Bahama.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The ship offers excursions but if you wish to be on your own, there are really just two main choices. The first one is to take a shared-taxi to Port Lucaya<\/em>, a festival marketplace type of complex of shops and restaurants. The famous Lucaya beach is also there. A shared-taxi costs just $12 roundtrip and is a bargain considering the drive is close to 15 miles each way. Much closer, pictured above within all the trees, is the Freeport Harbour<\/em> complex.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But please note that Freeport Harbour <\/em>complex is only open when another cruise ship is in port. In other words, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise<\/em> doesn’t count.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately for us, Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas<\/em> out of Baltimore was here.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Like the much-farther away Port Lucaya, Freeport Harbour<\/em> complex has numerous buildings filled with small shops, restaurants and a straw market.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There was Caribbean-inspired music in the centre of the complex.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
BuckO’s Sports Bar<\/em> had a grill going outside but at the mid-morning time, little activity.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dick and Willy’s<\/em> would become busy with day-drinkers as afternoon arrived.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We settled on Se\u00f1or Frog’s<\/em> for lunch, the local outpost of the Mexican chain. (Orlando has a branch too on International Drive.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We found DJ EZ (BS) in the booth playing 70’s Disco hits such as “Hot Stuff”, “Good Times”, “Dancing Queen”, “Play That Funky Music” and “Car Wash”. It was a great preview to our World’s Largest Disco<\/a><\/em> visit next weekend in Buffalo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Balearia Caribbean<\/em> fast ferry Jaume II<\/em> from Port Everglades would arrive shortly after noon, one of several visits each week. That made 3 ships in port at the same time.
