A soft opening is now in progress at 1-Up<\/em>, the brand new creation from Bar None Creations<\/em>.! Located on Church Street where club Dragon Room<\/em> and later Schumann\u2019s Jager Haus<\/em> once operated, their opening is part of a renaissance for Church Street where many things are finally happening! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We thought it would be more of a game room with a bar but it turns out it’s more of a bar with games!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Classic arcade games are jammed…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

…..into all the nooks and crannies. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Bar None Creations<\/em> previously opened Halloween-themed Cocktails & Screams<\/em> on Pine Street and if you’ve been there, you know how heavily-themed and creative their bars are!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Looking for the loo? When you gotta GO you gotta pass GO!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This ball pit bathtub will surely become thee place to take those Instagram <\/em>selfies. The music is 80’s & 90’s although we did not see a DJ anywhere.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Next door, the former Native Social Bar\/Mako’s <\/em>space is being converted by Bar None<\/em> to 70’s-themed GoGo’s Disco<\/em> but their opening has been pushed back until Spring. We’re told that upstairs, the former Club 23<\/em> space is going to become High T<\/em>, an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea room\/bar. Wow!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Next stop, Elixir Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

All the activity last night was outside on their famous patio.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Here we found a tag team set from DJ Flashdrive (USA) and DJ Nick Whitney (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

You may recall their residency at the every Friday night Discoth\u00e8que <\/em>series at Independent Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dance floor was getting populated.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And while their set last night was House, there were a lot of 70’s Discoth\u00e8que<\/em> vibes to many of the selections such as “Freaky Motherfucker<\/a>“.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At midnight, headliner DJ Mystic Bill (USA) took over.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dance floor was jammed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
