We began our Friday night rounds last night at Dapper Duck<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Stopping by because DJ Xavier Orlando (USA) was playing downtown!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Even though it was still before 10PM, the place was already jammed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dapper Duck<\/em> is a great place to start the night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music was all Hip Hop hits during our visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It’s definitely not a dance club but more of a place to chit chat while you have a drink!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We wanted to check out Independent Bar<\/s>, Barbarella<\/s>, Wicked Whiskeys<\/s>, The Corner<\/em> so that was our next stop. Correct, Country music did not last even 3 months at Wicked Whiskeys<\/em> so now our former beloved Independent Bar<\/em> is called The Corner<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We found DJ Zeno (USA) in the booth playing mostly Top 40.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Interestingly, they advertise 4 dance floors in the club but we could only find one. When we inquired, we were told they were referring to The Corner<\/em>‘s dance floor plus those in the adjoining Patio<\/em>, Inside at The Patio <\/em>plus Aero Bar<\/em> upstairs, <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

No more boot scootin’ boogie on this new wood floor but we can’t say we’re unhappy about that!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Now directly connected to The Corner<\/em> is The Patio<\/em> where we stopped for a couple cheap drinks before 11PM.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We sneaked a pic of Friday\/Saturday night resident DJ Parry (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Even though it was still pretty early, the dance floor was seeing activity.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music at The Patio<\/em> is mostly Top 40.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next stop, a long walk north to The Vanguard<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Where we walked into this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Was able to catch the last half hour or so of the set from DJ Carlos Mendoza (EC\/USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Techno Techno Techno!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And then promptly at 12:30AM, there she was, the Queen of Techno!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Nicole Moudaber (RL\/GB)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Continuing with what Carlos has started…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Booming Techno!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dance floor was packed wall-to-wall.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
She had everyone bouncing!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Almost 10 years to the day, we had met both Carlos Mendoza and Nicole Moudaber for the first time when they played together in 2012 at the long-gone Senso Supper Club<\/em>. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
No one does poofed hair better than Nicole Moudaber!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
What a show! Next Friday night at The Vanguard<\/em>, DJ Flux Pavilion (GB) will be performing Dubstep here and next Saturday night, DJ ILLENIUM (USA) goes Future Bass here. Advance tickets here<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Still time for one more stop at Grumpys Underground<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Arrived early enough to catch the end of DJ Funkbaby’s (USA) set!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Breaks were the order of the evening!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Grumpys <\/em>has become Orlando’s home of Breaks!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Funkbaby had played at last month’s Hydrotechnics Music Festival<\/em> in Pennsylvania. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted on the dance floor: Renee, Larry, DJ Berto (USA) and Katey.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Berto dropped a few hits earlier in the evening while Katey is due to drop her new hit Mateo next month!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted at the bar: Jody Marie, Brandy & Stacey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Since our last visit, a “Hug Zone” has been added outside.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Coming on late, DJ Jrok (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Continuing with those Breakbeats!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dance floor stayed busy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
