We were overdue for a visit to Atlantic Dance Hall <\/em>at Walt Disney World<\/em>, so on this warm July evening last night, here we were!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We found DJ Tony B (USA) in the booth playing Top 40. Didn’t recognize him with the beard!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Just a handful in the beautiful art deco club before 11PM.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But activity would slowly pick up during his Classic Dance set which included Haddaway (TT) hit “What Is Love” and Snap! (D) hit “Rhythm Is A Dancer”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

More and more groups arrived onto the dance floor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Pleasure Island<\/em> mini Reunion of sorts last night! Spotted: Tim, Mursalat, Danielle & Alex. The upcoming Magic Mike\/DJ Icey show at House of Blues<\/em> on Labor Day weekend will be a much-larger PI<\/em> reunion event as I’ve heard of dozens of Pleasure Island<\/em>ers attending from around the country! Advance tickets here<\/a> or without the fees at the HOB <\/em>box office. It will sell out so don’t wait!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Tony B. was a Pleasure Islander<\/em> too, having played at club Motion, Rock’n’Roll Beach Club<\/em> & PI Live<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And when the DJ steps out of the booth and onto the dance floor…….<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dancing in unison to the music video he was playing!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He even got me onto the dance floor for the “Cupid Shuffle”!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

ADH <\/em>is so huge that even when there’s a lot of people it can still look empty. But shortly after midnight, there was actually a lot of people!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And a good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When Disney <\/em>closed Pleasure Island<\/em> in 2008, Atlantic Dance Hall<\/em> became their only remaining owned & operated dance club. They’re open Thursday-Sunday nights from 8PM to 1AM and it’s located at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
