As you know by now, when we’re traveling we like to check-out some of the local bars and clubs and we did just that last night while visiting Chicago. The Chicago Athletic Club<\/em> seems to be an unlikely place for a bar.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Located at 12 S. Michigan Avenue in the heart of downtown, the building isn’t particularly high for a rooftop bar but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in its location.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As soon as you enter the room, the Cindy’s Bar<\/em> balcony draws your attention!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is a bar outside here in the far corner but it’s all about the view.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Because it overlooks Millennium Park and its Cloud Gate sculpture. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Which everyone just calls “The Bean”. With free admission, this is Chicago’s #1 tourist attraction.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Looking towards Grant Park, Chicago’s famed Art Institute<\/em> is also nearby…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And off in the distance, the Adler Planetarium and around the southern bend of Lake Michigan, the steel mills of northwest Indiana.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
