We decided that this weekend we would spend our Saturday night with the Mouse<\/em>. So even though it’s still Spring Break and it was right in the middle of the dinner hour, we somehow snagged a parking spot in a Disney Springs<\/em> garage and here we were!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
First we checked out the three “Water” stages beginning with the Water Fountain Stage.<\/em> Located in Disney Springs Marketplace,<\/em> Disney <\/em>typically has a family dance party here in the evening but last night, nothing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The DJ booth was completely empty.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A live band was playing at the Waterside Stage<\/em> though.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The band La Calle (USA) was playing Latin hits even us Anglo’s would recognize.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A good-sized crowd had gathered, led by none other than Eddy Maserati. Our other Blog, Save Pleasure Island<\/em>, did an article about him a few years ago. LINK<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

Now over to Pleasure Island<\/em> itself and the Waterview Stage<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Live band Wassalou (USA) was playing Afropop and Caribbean beats.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
First time seeing them out here at the Springs<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This stage is located where Rock’N’Roll Beach Club<\/em> once stood.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next stop was STK<\/em>, located at West End Plaza<\/em> on the Island <\/em>where Comedy Warehouse<\/em> used to stand.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Here we found DJ Marcos Lado (RA\/USA) in the booth playing Top 40.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is an upscale lounge where diners can congregate awaiting tables for dinner but STK <\/em>never developed the place to be a bar or club in its own right. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next, leaving the Island <\/em>over to Disney Springs West Side<\/em> to Stargazers Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Never got his name but this guy was playing and singing Contemporary hits.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And there was a small contingent of patrons here. We’ve seen this place packed but it was still pretty early last night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Planet Hollywood Observatory <\/em>was our next stop.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Solo (USA) was in the booth controlling the Top 40 & Disney <\/em>music and videos.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The videos are projected up onto the Observatory <\/em>ceiling above the diners.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Across from PH<\/em>, the so-called “Orange Node” Stage.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The live Fire Lake Band was playing 70’s, 80’s & 90’s Rock hits.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Splitsville <\/em>was busy too last night!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
These two guys were taking turns singing medleys at their outdoor bar. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was great to see that Cirque du Soleil<\/em> is back in business with their all-new show.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The place was absolutely jammed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
House of Blues<\/em> has been back in the concert business for several months now but this was the first DJ show we’ve noticed. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The queue wrapped around the building for a sold out show headlined by Black Tiger Sex Machine (CDN).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Arrived inside to find the dance floor already looking like this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The opening act, a b2b set by DJ Hairitage (USA) and DJ Swarm (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Their Dubstep set had the crowd in a frenzy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It’s been a few years since we’ve been in HOB <\/em>but no changes to the venue were noticed. Even my favorite bartender was back in her spot!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The merchandise booth had a long line for Black Tiger Sex Machine logo tees.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Second act, DJ Ace Aura (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
He continued with this Heavy Bass mayhem. Knowing the headliners were at least 2 hours away, this was as good as time as any to be…..moving on. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
To Atlantic Dance Hall<\/em>. While they are heavy on 90’s Hip Hop hits, we knew we were safe from Dubstep.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We found Pleasure Island<\/em>er DJ Frankie (USA) in the booth.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Playing Top 40 videos old and new.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And with a female to male ratio of 4:1 last night, who could complain!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted on the dance floor: Dawn from 8TRAX <\/em>with a friend.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
ADH <\/em>is one of the few clubs in town where patrons wear Mouse <\/em>ears. OK, well, it’s the only<\/em> club in town where patrons wear Mouse <\/em>ears.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The place is massive so even when there are a lot of people here, it looks empty. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Admission and parking are free at Disney<\/em>‘s only remaining owned & operated dance club.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
