The coldest night of this winter…..so far! Friday night looking for House music downtown and beginning that search at Monkey Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Located in Wall St. Plaza<\/em>, we found resident DJ Dity (USA) in the booth delivering the good stuff!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The inside bar was beginning to draw a crowd.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
While the outside balcony bar, despite the chill, was busier.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Guest DJ Designer Trash (USA) taking over at 11PM and switching it over to more Vocal House. Come check out Monkey Bar<\/em> Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights for great music!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Next stop Barbarella<\/em>, home every Friday night to Discoth\u00e8que<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But the music last night was overshadowed by the announcement that Barbarella <\/em>aka Independent Bar<\/em> is closing permanently at the end of February! They’ll be moving to a new location away from downtown so they will still be around, just not here! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the booth we found DJ Extraa (USA) playing House and Disco.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Just a few on the dance floor at this early hour.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But activity would slowly pick up.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
With DJ Flashdrive (USA) taking over around midnight.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The new location for Barbarella <\/em>has not been announced so we’ll keep you updated. We have found out that Discoth\u00e8que<\/em> will only have one additional show next Friday night ft. DJ Moscoman (IL). Advance tickets can be found here<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One place not moving is Elixir Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Arrived to catch the final minutes of a Minimal Techno set from DJ Viera (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Followed immediately by DJ Duke (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Going more House \/ Tech House than his predecessor. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So cold though that their famous dance floor was a bit spartan.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Although there was a contingent of dancers back behind the bar!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Duke was one of the DJ’s on last week’s Groove Cruise<\/a><\/em> aboard Royal Caribbean<\/em>‘s Mariner of the Seas<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So where was everyone last night? Last stop of the night was Celine Nightclub<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Playing his remix hit “Do It To It<\/a>” late in the program. It was the song most-played by the most DJ’s at last November’s Electric Daisy Carnival – Orlando<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We actually had a better view of him at EDC<\/em>, lol.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We’ve been at Celine <\/em>for some huge name DJ’s before and some big crowds, but nothing like this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It was next to impossible to move about the place.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

ACRAZE is actually from the Orlando area.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
