Friday night in Orlando means just one thing: Discoth\u00e8que at Barbarella<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Opening mostly House set from resident DJ Flashdrive (USA) and Nick Whitney (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And the dance floor which had just a few grooving on it during the opening hour…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Soon had a few more…..<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And by 11PM it began to look like this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Flashdrive delivered some 70’s Disco vibes in his set too!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Discoth\u00e8que <\/em>has become the best weekly event in Orlando by far!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Got to visit with DJ Gregory B (USA) and Emily at the bar!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And then around 12:15AM, there he was!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The legendary DJ Felix Da Housecat (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And the dance floor got packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Felix Da Housecat is considered part of Chicago’s “second wave” of House music producers following the creation of the genre in that city post-70’s Disco and post-early 80’s Funk.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

His set last night kept the floor jammed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Felix Da Housecat is from my native Park Forest, IL. I went to Rich Central High School<\/em> and he went to Rich East<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
His set last night included 70’s Disco, 80’s New Wave & 90’s AAHZ<\/em> House!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was an amazing set!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Don’t recall him playing Orlando previously so this was my first time seeing him!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Discoth\u00e8que at Barbarella<\/em> is typically a free event every Friday but every once in awhile they will have a ticketed event featuring a world-class DJ. Over the past half-year they’ve had Todd Terry (USA), DJ Three (USA) & Louie Vega (USA) all playing here!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
