The Embassy Suites – Lake Buena Vista South<\/em> was the home last night to the Pleasure Island Rewind<\/em> party!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With DJ Elliot (USA) taking us back to our favorite nightclubs!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Only about 50 or so guests attended, perhaps deterred by a lack of advertising for the event and the steep $91 price tag.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Only one couple on the dance floor at the beginning but this would change later as you’ll see. The DJ delivered music from all the clubs, beginning the night with music from Pleasure Island Jazz Company<\/em> (did anyone actually go there?) followed by Mannequins, 8TRAX<\/em>, Neon Armadillo\/Wildhorse Saloon<\/em>, Rock’N’Roll Beach Club<\/em> and then Mannequins <\/em>again! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One of the event’s highlights was dessert stations set up towards the rear of the room in the hotel’s convention center.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Some amazing good stuff!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There was also a cash\/credit card bar available to help get that dance floor revolving like it used to do at Mannequins<\/a><\/em>!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Elliot has long been associated with Walt Disney World<\/em> and plays at numerous events around the World <\/em>at places like Magic Kingdom<\/em>, EPCOT<\/em> and Disney Hollywood Studios<\/em>. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
By all means the highlight of the show was the panel discussion group made up for four former Adventurers Club<\/em> castmembers, with questioning coming from two former Comedy Warehouse<\/em> castmembers!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A little history of the Kungaloosh <\/em>drinking ritual!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And new AC members being inducted into the club!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Everyone was fascinated!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We were told how Disney <\/em>management promised Adventurers Club<\/em> was safe from the closure of Pleasure Island<\/em>, with them being relocated to a new dinner show building at Disney’s Animal Kingdom<\/em>. And then someone even higher in Disney <\/em>management axing the plan. They shared their favorite cast roles and the fun stories of working at AC<\/em>. In the conclusion, they sang club theme song “Marching Along We’re Adventurers<\/a>“. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

You can find DJ Elliot playing on Pleasure Island<\/em> itself at the Waterview Stage<\/em> this NYE!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One way to fill a dance floor guaranteed is with line dances and the “Electric Slide” certainly did that!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Cha Cha Slide<\/em> was next, just like at club Motion<\/em>!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
