Just outside downtown Orlando is a place called the Attractions Area. This is a place that many Orlandoans (yes, that’s a word) never venture and some specifically avoid. But it’s also a place with its own scene mixed with tourists and locals and it’s where we spent our Friday night. We began along Orlando’s restaurant row at The H<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Here we found DJ Chino (USA) in the booth play at what is primarily a restaurant.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music was House music where Chino begins early and goes late!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The view from the booth was impressive. It’s reservations only on the weekend and that empty table would soon be occupied. It was calm during my visit but gets crazy after midnight!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is a huge bar scene here too!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The H<\/em> is located on Dr. Phillips Blvd. Come check it out!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Less than a mile away is Rocco’s Tacos<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Here we found DJ Netics (USA) in the booth playing at what also is primarily a restaurant. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music was mostly Hip Hop hits. Some DJ’s hate it when their girlfriends hang-out in the booth but Netics told us he doesn’t mind.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The place was packed with a line outside even at 11PM. That empty table would soon be occupied.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is a huge bar scene here too! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Rocco’s Tacos<\/em> is located on Sand Lake Road. Come check it out! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Pointe Orlando<\/em> has apparently been rebranded as The Pointe<\/em>. The upstairs level remains mostly empty as ownership tries to invigorate the place while the downstairs bars and restaurants are jammed with venues such as Blue Martini, Capital Grille<\/em> and the recently reopened Cuba Libre<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And it’s downstairs where you’ll find Hampton Social<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And it’s at Hampton Social<\/em> that we found DJ Alex Chang (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music is all Vocal House!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Also primarily a restaurant, the place was Friday-night jammed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And there is quite a bar scene too and much-more casual than the prior two venues.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Really love the vibe here so come check it out!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Just north of The Pointe<\/em> is Icebar Orlando <\/em>and inside you’ll find Fire Lounge<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And at Fire Lounge<\/em> we found DJ ET (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Open format here so the music ranged from Hip Hop to Top 40 and even a bit of EDM.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
First venue of the night where people were dancing! While there is a light bites menu, this is primarily a dance club.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
ET had the club jamming!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
As we mentioned, Fire Lounge<\/em> is inside Ice Bar<\/em>. There is a charge to enter the Ice Bar<\/em> section where the price includes use of a fur coat and a drink inside the frozen room in a glass made of ice! But entry into the lounge only is free.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We first met DJ ET when he was the Friday night resident DJ at The Groove<\/em> in Universal CityWalk<\/em>. He now spins here at Fire Lounge<\/em> every Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. Come check it out!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Next over to Club 3Nine<\/em>. Located in the Rosen Center Hotel<\/em>, it’s the Attractions Area’s largest dance club. And with it being a Friday night during the summer tourist season, it should be packed, right?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
WTF…..wasn’t even open last night!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Moving on. Up in a hidden room on the 2nd floor of Mango’s<\/em> you’ll find The Vodou Room<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Xclusive City (USA) in the booth playing Hip Hop. We’ve met him downtown several times over the past few years and places such as 180 Skytop Lounge, The Beacham<\/em> and Mai Thai<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Decent-sized crowd on the dance floor enjoying the music.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And now headed to the downstairs main level of Mango’s<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Where every Friday night you’ll find DJ Leony (USA) in the perch!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And every Friday night you’ll find a packed dance floor!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The music is primarily Latin genres such as Salsa and Bachata but then Leony will go into one of his House\/EDM sets!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And he gets everyone bouncing!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We first became familiar with DJ Leony from his Air BPM<\/em> House mix shows on XM Satellite Radio<\/em>. We first met him when we were at Latin Quarter<\/em> in CityWalk<\/em> in the post-Pleasure Island<\/em> era and he would play these great Dance sets! You can hear his latest “Passport 2 Dance” show here<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They say you can never go wrong with Go Go girls.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They <\/em>were right!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
