Beginning our Friday night in Orlando with some House music at Monkey Bar<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Resident DJ Dity (USA) was in the booth playing the good stuff.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was early but the dance floor had already attracted a following.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted on the balcony: Juliet & Denis. Monkey Bar<\/em> is located but hidden within the Wall St. Plaza<\/em> complex. See if you can find it!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Ann Teague’s Lamp Supply<\/em> is a relatively new venue located along Magnolia Street.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
If you spot these lighted wall cutouts along the back wall, you recognize you’re in the former Peek Downtown \/ Suite B Lounge<\/em> spot!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But now it’s all about……..LAMPS!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We found DJ Maha (USA) in the booth playing a great House music set.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The bar and club were jammed with patrons……..and lamps!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
First time seeing DJ Maha play and the music was so good!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
You may remember it as Venue 578<\/em> or even Firestone Live<\/em> prior to that.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
But after a complete gutting and rebuilding, it’s now The Vanguard<\/em> with programming delivered by Insomniac<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I walked into this mayhem!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Hard to see in the darkness and fog, DJ Diesel (USA). To those outside the music scene, he’s better known as former basketball star Shaquille O’Neal aka Shaq.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was way too late to get any closer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I didn’t know what to expect but I expected more House. During my half hour visit his set was mostly head-banging Heavy Bass music. The crowd was lit though and was really getting into it. For me, I needed to move on.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
To Barbarella <\/em>(formerly Independent B<\/em>ar) where every Friday night is now home to \u201cDiscotheque\u201d.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Resident DJ Flashdrive (USA) was in the booth when I arrived mixing Disco, Nu-Disco & House.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Biggest crowd I’ve seen for \u201cDiscotheque\u201d.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Friday nights are typically free admission but last night it was a ticketed affair.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And worth every penny!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Spotted by the bar: DJ Gregory B (USA), Blog<\/em>-favorite CJ and Emily.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Spotted in VIP: \u308a\u30ce\u30e0\u30ce\u30a4\u30e0\u30ec \u308a\u306e\u30a4, Farah, Ducky Orlando & Christa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Spotted on the dance floor: Amelia & DJ Dack (USA) <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

You could feel the vibe in the air!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And then, there he was!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
DJ Todd Terry (USA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Barbarella <\/em>was packed! Spotted with camera: The instigator of these weekly \u201cDiscotheque\u201d nights, DJ Nick Whitney (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A mix of ages but predominantly a younger crowd in the club.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Most of them probably have little idea how iconic this DJ is in the early history of House music!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Todd Terry going 70’s Disco on us with “Keep On Bumping”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
And early 00’s on us with “Lola’s Theme”. His set spanned many decades!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Another huge name, DJ Soul Clap (USA), plays here at \u201cDiscotheque\u201d on August 13th! Advance tickets here<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

An amazing night for \u201cDiscotheque\u201d at Barbarella. A<\/em> good time was had by all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
