We begin our Friday night with a report from downtown St. Petersburg where they have a club called The Dog Bar<\/em>. And every Friday night this month it’s home to “Bark After Dark”, a chance to bring your dog out for some nightlife!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This report is brought to us by OEN<\/em>‘s roving reporter Sarah K, popping-in to this picture of DJ Shannon C (USA). We haven’t seen Shannon C since 2015 when she DJ’d at Dillard’s<\/em> in the Florida Mall<\/em> for an appearance by Steve Madden. LINK<\/a> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Last night’s theme was “Bark For Sharks” for the upcoming “Shark Week”.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

OK, back to Orlando and checking out The H<\/em>. Located near the Sand Lake Road restaurant row, it’s a restaurant that turns club later on weekend nights.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And it’s here we found DJ Oteo (USA) on the decks at one end of the building.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The DJ begins at 10PM while many are still dining but things don’t get cranked up until after 11PM. By midnight they’ll clear a bunch of tables to create a dance floor.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
The bar area was jammed too. Several years back nightlife pundits predicted that mega-clubs would go away in favor of smaller restaurant-based venues. But the rise of electronic dance music has kept mega-clubs very much viable while restaurant-based nightlife has become a thing too. Other Sand Lake Road restaurants with DJ’s include nearby Rocco’s Tacos<\/em> & American Social<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The first hour is low-volume House music which he cranks-up as the evening progresses. Come check out The H<\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Top Secret Resort is a hotel complex located along I-4 at the John Young Parkway exit. This weekend it is host to “Jamz Camp<\/em>“.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

First time here and walking into this impressive lobby area!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Flux (USA) putting out the Breaks!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Just a few early arrivals on the dance floor down below. The main event begins today at Noon and runs until 2AM. OEN <\/em>will be there so come on out. Headliners tonight include DJ Magic Mike vs Deejay Shaolin plus DJ Infiniti vs DJ Chang. Tickets available at the door and parking is free!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Down below the main DJ booth is a second room with its own bar. Today\/tonight it will be home to the second stage featuring DJ Knightlife, Seth Vogt, K5 and more!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It’s not necessary to be staying at the hotel to attend Jamz Camp<\/em> so come on out!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The sign still says Skytop Lounge<\/em> but the new official name is Skylounge <\/em>and it’s located atop Amway Center<\/em> downtown.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

DJ Phoenix Jagger (USA) was in the booth along with DJ Michael Masf (USA), playing Reggaeton and Top 40 during my visit. Congratulations to Phoenix & Michael, both who. were listed in Thursday’s announcement that they will be performing live at EDC-Orlando<\/em> in November!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Arriving close to midnight, I walked into this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The outdoor rooftop venue was packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I felt seriously under-dressed in my tee-shirt.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Their indoor bar was busy too.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One of the hightlights of visiting Skylounge <\/em>is this amazing view of the downtown skyline.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Even I-4 is romantic from up here! OK, well maybe not, but it’s still a great place to impress a first date.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Now on to Celine Nightclub<\/em> where you’ll always find electronic music on Friday nights.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Caught the tail-end of a House set from DJ Tony Shades (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Dance floor was crowded but not packed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Promptly at 12:30AM, the headliner appeared.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He would continue with the House vibe.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As you can see, hardly empty but not wall-to-wall packed like we’ve seen here previously.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Victor Calderone has played at local clubs like Senso, Icon, Iron Cow <\/em>and Elixir <\/em>over the past years. In 2012 he played at EDC-Orlando<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
